Adrielle could still picture the enraged face of her overprotective, demanding and in-need-of-a-shave father as she stormed out of the mansion. Lately their amount of arguments had been piling up, more than it normally should. It pained her emotionally but she was still stubborn enough to point the blame finger on him. She had thought that he had accepted the fact that his little girl was growing up but apparently he had not. Not wanting to stay cooped up in the mansion, which seemed to be decreasing in size by the hour, Adrielle made her way outside. And she did not plan to return for a while. A few days maybe. It would be good for the both of them, she just hoped her father would not do anything rash like send an army in search of her. That foreboding thought was kept at bay.
Her aim was to loose herself in Faraway Island and so far she was doing a great job. She more or less had no clue of her whereabouts however she was getting tired of playing hide and seek. Just as she was about to question a bystander the directions to Neptune Island, something caught her eye. She walked towards it purposefully. It was a magnificent looking hotel and it was styled with Asian culture. Truly beautiful. It might have even exceeded looks wise the Neptune Island. Or maybe that was her anger with her dad thinking. As she drew closer, she noted the intricate patterns and fine detail. Not caring what she was doing, she stepped inside.
If possible, the inside was more gorgeous than the outside. With silk draped everywhere, rich colours splattered and plush furniture, it even felt homely despite the high class of it. Adrielle bit her lower lip. The thought of staying there occurred to her. It was her intention in the first place after all. Her mind had been made up. She went over to the reception and got herself a room immediately, much to her surprise. The staff were extremely kind and no one even questioned her lack of luggage. Her insides were buzzing and she could not wait to see her suite. She was sure that her high expectations would not be disappointed one bit. 'This is just what I need' Slowly she made her way up the staircase, which to her delight, was spiralling. He father disapproved of spiralling staircases because they were apparently too 'overdone' and 'cliché' so he had not included them in his hotel design. It was one of the things he and Ariel disagreed on. Again she tried to keep all negative thoughts at bay and so far...she was doing a good job.

Al shut the door behind him as he left one of the rooms at the Agrabah Hotels. He let out a gulp, swallowing his saliva hard with relief. For a moment, he almost believed that he was going to be left in the room, trapped. His friends from the Hoods told him about this special client. She was a dominatrix, and she loved the thrill of seducing the messengers that came to her. However, being quick on his feet, the boy had managed to get out in time relatively unscathed right after he had placed the package on top of her night stand. Now, he was panting, trying to catch his breath. His hair was a mess and his shirt all creased. He couldn't help it. The girl swung her arms wildly at him, grabbing his wherever she could. He shivered, glad that it was over.
"Geez, some people..." he thought out loud, mumbling to himself. Well, he should have expected these things from the Agrabah Hotels. Despite it's 'hotel' label, everyone in Faraway knew what the place was. Being right next to the Cave of Wonders, it was practically a brothel. Of course, Al had never been here for personal matters. He could never have afforded it. Shaking off the thoughts out of his head, he began to march down the hallway, passing by an old man with a brunette wrapped around his arms. Al made a face of disgust before picking up the pace.
He took big steps, not bothering to observe the surroundings. Sure, it was a nice place, definitely one of the nicer places in the city, but there was just something about a motel that turned the nicest features and intricacies of design into a horrid mental image of people doing it everywhere. He continued to move towards the lobby, his head caught up in his own thoughts, when he almost bumped into someone by the staircase. Someone who seemed oddly familiar. He stopped in place, turning his head to check whether his eyes were playing tricks on him.
"Ariel?" his voice a mix of confusion and concern. He scratched his head, wondering what the daughter of The Neptune Hotel owner was doing in a place like this. She didn't look like she was going to book a room, after all, there was no bellboy following her with her stuff. Something then caught Al's eye, as it traveled down to her hands. Clutched between her fingers, it was a hotel key. His eyes widened. "Oooooh. Meeting someone, eh?" Al waggled his eyebrows suggestively, before bursting out laughing. "Won't your old man get mad at you for being here?"

Adrielle had not heard anything about Agrabah Hotel. She guessed that most people had and her father just wouldn’t let her experience anything new. She stifled an eye roll. The day her dad says “Do whatever you want child!” to her would be the day. Remaining still on the staircase, she felt her cheeks flush pink as she realised how out of place she was. Most of the people in the hotel were dressed cultural with as much gold on them as they could get without it cutting into their skin. She even spotted a few peacock feathers with encrusted diamonds hanging of some of the dresses that the females in the place. ”The lengths people go to…” she muttered under her breath with a small smile sprawled across her face.
Only then did the thought of being discreet come to her. She was trying to avoid getting caught by her father and what if one of the seemingly innocent people happened to blab her out? Cursing to herself, she remained rooted on the spot. Not sure whether to continue to her room or not. Would a trustee of her father really be spending their time in an Indian hotel? It would be like fraternising with the enemy if you were talking extremes. She decided to not fret and stick to the decision made earlier.
The red head was too blinded by the beauty of the people and the place to think that everything might not be what it seems. It did not seem like a place where the ‘filthy ones’ as her father called them would go. It seemed to be more of a place where those with a higher social class would spend their time just to show off. Ariel was not into that. She was rich but not spoilt. It was one of her qualities she deemed. She truly wished that after spending a few nights here that her opinion of this place would not change unless for the better.
As she was about to proceed, she collided with someone. Hastily she apologised and then she recognised the cheeky face. It was his signature look…how could she forget? ”Ariel?” That confirmed her thoughts. She smiled broadly. “Al?” she asked, her tone more joking than anything. What would Al be doing in the Agrabah Hotel? She thought he’d be unimpressed by a swanky motel like this. Nevertheless the boy was full of surprises as she had learnt from her time with his. Letting out a laugh at his question, Ariel nodded. ”Yes I visit here every month to check on my amazing invisible and secret boyfriend,” she joked. It was nice to have Al to lighten things up. Then he mentioned her dad and she frowned a little. Barely noticeable. “Well the old man can screw himself. I need a change,” she mumbled loud enough for him to hear. ”What about you? What is the fantastic Albert doing in shabby place like this?” she asked him.

Al felt confused when the girl before him greeted him. On one hand, it was reassuring to know that it had been Ariel he was talking to. It would have saved him the embarrassment of talking to the wrong person. However, on the other hand, he was worried. Worried that Ariel might be caught by his father in a place like this. Even worse, worried that she might encounter a creep that might take advantage of her. She was tough, there was no doubt about it. But it was still different. That wasn't enough to keep Al complacent. He knew he had to watch her.
He flashed her a grin as she answered his question sarcastically. He returned the favor, placing his hands on his hips and raising his eyebrow at her. "So why haven't I seen this invisible boyfriend? I thought you said that you'd introduce me first!" Al let out another laugh, not paying much attention to the snarky comment about her dad. Looks like they had an argument. Again. It wasn't uncommon for them to do this kind of thing, but the fact that Ariel would venture into the Agrabah Hotels suggests that it was an intense argument.
"Don't you mean 'what's shabby Albert doing in a fantastic place like this'?" the boy let out another laugh before crossing his arms and resting them over his chest. "I guess I'm just doing what you're doing, too. Walking around." Al didn't want to tell Ariel about his task today at the Agrabah Hotels. Not that he was embarrassed or anything. He just felt like for the time being, no one needed to know he was involved in other things.
He grabbed her gently and pulled her over to the side of the staircase to make sure they wouldnt be blocking the entire way. He took a seat on one of the steps, leaning next to the railings, before urging her to sit down next to him. "So, what'd the old man do this time?" he asked, as though he couldn't already guess. Their fights were often about the same thing: his too restrictive father taking control of a teenage girl's actions, but he felt like it was only proper to ask her, regardless. He flashed a goofy smile and waited for her response.

Adrielle could not help but wonder what Al was really doing in the hotel. However she was not nosy enough- or courageous enough- to actually confront him and ask. It was just bad manners and that was something which she never portrayed unless of course it was towards her father however he was the only exception. Seeing someone familiar in an unfamiliar place was definitely a reassurance. It also meant you were a lot safer. Two is better than one. Ariel just hoped than no one else would randomly appear. Three's a crowd. She fiddled with her fingers a little since she found it very hard to just remain still. It was one of her habits that tended to annoy a lot of people. Asking her to remain still was like asking the Sun not to be so hot.
A one sided smile formed on her face as Albert played along in their little game. She leant closer to him and whispered "He's very shy you see..." Then she started to giggle and things felt a lot lighter. Her situation did not seem so bad anymore. It was as if she was on a short and secret vacation. It helped to think of it like that. But Ariel felt sorry that Al always has to put up with her moaning about her dad. It must do his head in so she decided not to really say anything about the issue unless asked.
'Don't you mean what's shabby Albert doing in a fantastic place like this?' To tell the truth, when he said that...she wanted to cry. She hated being reminded that he was not as rich as her because in her opinion it didn't matter but to a lot of others it did. Nevertheless she smiled at his comment and nodded slightly as he said that he was 'walking around'. She was pretty sure that there was a lot more to it than that but she kept her lips glued together so no questions would be formed to interrogate him. Secretly, she was a little protective over him.
Taking a seat on the step just above the one where Albert sat himself on, she thought of what to reply. What had the old man done this time? Nothing different to what he usually does. She let out a sigh which blew strands of her red hair away from her face. "Oh you know Al. He was just being so damn controlling and annoying..." There was nothing else for her to say really. She looked at her friend and smiled to let him know that mentally she was alright. Silence passed between the two of them. "Sometimes I wish I was you Al," she admitted truthfully.
He seemed to have the good life despite all his problems. He didn't have an old person telling him what to do with his whole life. He was free to do whatever he pleased. Lucky... She momentarily forgot that he probably had many more problem than she's ever had. All she could think of was her freedom. Something which Albert seemed to achieve so easily.

Whether Ariel was feeling a bit of remorse for what Al had said about him being poor, he caught nothing of it. Instead, he only saw the smile and the nod she threw at him. Al wasn't an entirely dense person, to be honest, but somehow, he found it harder to read through Ariel over other people. Maybe it was because she was often full of energy, that made it almost impossible to imagine her feeling down. Part of him knew that the girl didn't believe that his being in the hotel was purely coincidental. She wasn't stupid. But he was thankful that she didn't pry into it some more. He was glad that she just accepted what he had said.
Al squinted over as the red haired girl took a seat next to him. She began telling him about her controlling father. Al wasn't surprised. You see, her dad was his boss. It was actually how they ended up knowing one another. Both were just ranting on about him. The boy knew just how controlling and demanding Mr. Summers could be, and he completely understood her annoyance. Heck, if he were in her shoes, he'd be annoyed too. But, oddly enough, he saw her father's point as well. She was still young, and she was an only child. So definitely, he wants to look after her, under whatever circumstance. However, Al never said anything. He didn't want her to think that he was siding with the 'enemy', especially since he really wasn't.
They both sat together on the staircase, just enjoying the silence. It had been a while since they last did anything together. He couldn't even remember the last time they had just hung out. Well, everyone had been busy. Al had no idea what she had been doing, but the guests at the Neptune had been flooded, especially since the arrival of Aurelia Dawning, and he hadn't really had a time to take a breather. Well, now was a good time. And it was better late than never. He figured that they would just make things up now. However, something she had said caught his attention.
"Sometimes I wish I was you Al"
That's what she had said right? But, why would anyone ever want to be in his position. This was something he had been thinking on for quite a while now. The same thing, sort of, was mentioned by both Aura and Tinsley. Was it really true? Was being rich or powerful or famous something regrettable? Maybe it was just the stress talking. After all, who would want to live a life where you think of the things you need one day at a time? Who would want to live in an two-star motel covered in dirt and eat off discount meals from fast food chains? His life wasn't something to want. It was something to be pitied. Even though no one was going to tell it outright to his face, he knew it was the truth. And this want to be like him; the want to have his life, that made no sense to him at all.
"You can't be serious, Ariel. You don't know what it's like," Al began to speak, his voice taking a serious tone. He spoke solemnly, explaining his side, letting her know how it was impossible to want to be him. "I live off by the day. I don't know what's gonna happen to me tomorrow, or a week from now. I dunno if I'll still have my job next month. I don't have the luxury to do what I want to do because I'm too busy trying to survive. Trust me, enjoy what you have. A lot of people like me would love to be in your place."
He smiled over at her, hoping that she didn't think he was nagging at her. Nor did he want her to think he was looking for sympathy. He was just looking out for her. He didn't want her to go around thinking that his life was just some playground, causing her to end up making a deal with some of those witches around Faraway. No, he couldn't have that. Not to one of his closest friends. [/size] notes: sorry it got a bit sappy :s blech.

Adrielle did not really consider her actions to be stubborn. She thought it was all her father's fault but her own actions were just as wrong. She just had not realised that just yet. At this point in her life, it seemed that disobeying her father was a main and compulsory part of it. It would take a while for the two to accept each other. For him to accept that she was growing up and for her to accept that he was only doing his job as a good father.
It was nice being able to spend time with Al. They had not been able to have a proper conversation due to her father. He seemed to abusing his power because sometimes it seemed that he was over working Al. But she was sure that if she mentioned that, Albert would deny it whether it was true or not. Her friend was sometimes a little too nice. Hopefully he would not see her as a whiny little toddler by this point since that is what she came across as to herself. They were conversing in what seemed like ages and yet she was droning on about her problems. She was pretty sure that Al had some of his own. She was just too shy to ask.
One thought occurred to her about him. What did Albert actually make of himself being of a lower social class? Did he not care or wish that he could be in her shoes. Because Ariel knew that despite her high class standard family, she wished she had even more. Not that she would ever admit something like that. Sometimes her dreams were flooded with her walking along a red carpet or having her name splashed across the hottest magazines. Yet like she mentioned, she also wished the opposite. It would be a refreshing change to just do whatever you want for the hell of it and not care about anything. Also you don't have anyone restricting you. Any life that wasn't her own seemed good to her.
Every word that Al said made her regret everything. It made her actually appreciate her life. She held back the tears that threatened to spill. Feeling horrible, she patted his back speechlessly. What could she say now? Sorry? Yet sorry was the word she ended up telling him. She truly meant it unlike all the times she 'apologised' to her father for not listening. "I didn't mean... It's just that I do not...I just..." Suddenly, saying nothing seemed like the better option. She could not say anything useful at this point.
It was not as if he could tune into her brain and really read what was on her mind because to be honest, she couldn't do that herself at the moment. "This is really not how I wanted things to go," Ariel admitted with a shaky laugh. Lightening the atmosphere was her only valid option left. She did not know if it was working or not. Only Albert's reply would tell her.

The moment he finished his 'lecture'-like response, he knew that he shouldn't have said anything. It wasn't as though he was trying to be all preachy, though that was how it ended up to be. He was just trying to make sure that Ariel didn't get the wrong impression of his lifestyle. Sure, he was free, but like he said, what he could do with that freedom was very limited. He looked over at his friend and he could tell that what he had said had made her quite uncomfortable. Uncomfortable or regretful or remorseful. And Al wanted to give himself a smack in the head for even opening his big mouth. He felt her pat him on the back and he shook his head, before smiling at her and putting a friendly arm around her shoulder.
"Hey, that's not what I meant. I...Don't think that...I mean..." Al exasperated. He really didn't know what he could say. He had done it. He had made her feel bad, and all because he couldn't just keep his mouth shut. Why was he so affected when people say that they envied him? Why did he find it so hard to believe that there are some people who think the simple life would be better? Al didn't know the answer. And to be honest, he still wasn't sold on the whole idea. But he didn't want things to be any more awkward than they were so he just chose to drop it.
This is really now how I wanted things to go. The words that escaped her lips felt like there was a pang of guilt in it, and Al felt bad for it. He hadn't meant to bring her down, but he had. And all he could do was ride on with her attempt to change the atmosphere. That was one of the great things about Ariel. She tries her best not to dwell on things that cause misery. Al let out a laugh. "Why? How did you want things to go?" he asked, teasing. "Just to get things straight, I am not gonna go up to your room, you sly devil, you." He had hoped that it would have been enough to spare them both the awkwardness.
"So, how long are you planning on staying here?" he asked her casually, genuinely wondering how long the girl was planning on spending the night in a motel. At the very least, the Agrabah Hotels was a five-star motel, so he was rather complacent regarding her safety. For the most part.

Adrielle laughed out loud at her friend's rather typical comment. It lightened the mood a little so she played along, putting her hands on her hips she said "Well my invisible boyfriend won't be too pleased with that. He's very sensitive." She added an eye roll at the end of her phrase but she knew Al wouldn't take her seriously. He rarely did. It was one of the many positive things about their friendship. Neither of them could stay awkward with each other for too long. Their ice breaker happened a long time ago. So long, Ariel couldn't even remember their first official meeting with each other. She felt stupid for forgetting since that was supposed to be a treasured moment.
"So, how long are you planning on staying here?" Not enough thought had been put into her answer. She was going to tell him a couple of days but to be honest, she wouldn't mind spending a whole week in the place. Her mind was undecided. Her dad was already furious but she did not care because if he did, he would have been searching for her by now. By himself, not hiring a stupid army. "I'm not sure to be honest. I'll see how things go." It was a credible answer.
"Are you planning on staying here any longer?" she asked with a smile. Maybe that might help her decide how long her 'vacation' should be. Her hair began to irritate her as it kept falling into her eyes. Last time she got a sty because of that. Making a mental note to wear a hairband more often, she picked at the hem of her dress in silence. She realised how her question sounded a little silly now. Albert couldn'y really stay there. However she hoped that he got what she meant.
The difference of their social class was rarely a problem or a difficulty for her. However today it was proving to be. The questions she asked him had to be thought out. She blamed it on the setting really. Agrabah Hotel. It never happened until she entered the place. Maybe this was her guts telling her that staying too long was not right. Plus, she was only really doing to further annoy her dad. It was her usual routine and it seemed unsual to break out of it. This by far thought was the most extreme thing she had ever done. In Faraway Island, she didn't have a lot of good influents except from Al. In Denmark she had a wad load of friends telling her what she was doing wrong so she had been a much nicer daddy's little girl. Faraway Island changed all that. Everyone she knew had worse problems than her and Al was probably the only one, and a few others, who kept her sane. She was thankful for that. "Thanks Al," She had not meant to say that out loud but it didn't matter to her since she meant it.

He couldn't help but laugh as she went along with the joking. Being with Adrielle was amazing, especially since she knows how to adjust herself. With the way the two were acting now, no one would have guessed that they just had a rather serious exchange. It was just like the awkward moment didn't even exist. He made a face, as though taking her comment as an insulting one, before bursting out laughing once more. "Well, tell him I'm sorry if I've offended him."
Finally catching his breath, he paused, listening to Ariel as she spoke. As she mentioned, she was planning to stay for an indefinite amount of time. He was worried for her, after all, five-star or not, this was still 'officially' a motel, and somehow, he felt like other people might think of her as one of those escort services. If something happened to her here, then Al wouldn't be able to forgive himself. "Um, hey," Al leaned in to whisper in her ear. "You do know that this is...a shady place, right? And I mean, real shady. You sure you wouldn't rather stay somewhere else? Maybe at the Tower?" The boy had hoped that she understood what it was that he was trying to convey. She was smart, but she was also very sheltered, and it's quite possible that she didn't really know the ins and outs of the city. "I mean, I don't want anything bad to happen to you, you know?"
Now it was her who threw the question over at all. His immediate response was to scratch his head and pause for a bit. Initially, the only reason he was even there was to deliver a 'package' from the Hoods. He doubted that he would be back here anytime soon. "Honestly, uh, not really. I'm actually heading out in a bit. But you know, I can drop by again tomorrow. Check on you? That is, if your boyfriend won't mind." Al felt like he should have just lied to her outright, that way she'd feel more secure. But perhaps knowing that there wouldn't be anyone familiar in the area, it might push her to head back home earlier.
"Anytime! After all, what are friends for?" he replied, playfully nudging her sides. Her friendship meant a lot to him, and he was glad that the two of them actually crossed paths. Perhaps, it was one of the few things that made working at the Neptune worth it.

The fact that Ariel could so easily create conversation with Al came in very handy. Especially in times like this when things took a turn for the awkward. Albert seemed to know her inside and out and she knew him so it was easy for them to understand each other. They'd rarely ever had agruments. He was the more rational one of the two so he knew how to keep Ariel grounded. They complimented each other perfectly. Secretly, Albert was one of the only people she really trusted. Amongs her many friends, he would be the one who knew her secrets first.
As he whispered in her ear, her unacknowledged fears were confirmed. This seemingly amazing place was not exactly what it seemed. Shady. Al had described it as shady. It made her see the place without rose tinted glasses. Everyone just seemed to so...nice. It was a poor word choice but it was true. No one can really expect that this place was the equivalent of the streets the Bronx. "I mean, I don't want anything bad to happen to you, you know?"[/b]. She smiled at him as he said that. Knowing that someone other than her father cared for her was a nice thought. She nodded at him. "Thanks for the warning but surely one or two days here won't hurt me?" she asked him hopefully. The tower was a place her dad would be sure to look for her there and Adrielle was not ready to be found just yet. She listened as he explained his schedule. He asked if he should visit. "If you could then yes please and don't worry. I'll tell him you're just a friend." she told him. Suddenly she giggled. "People must think we're mad for just sitting on the stairs like lemons," she said. Adding weird similies in her sentences was something she did quite often. It always lifted up any excess tension. She hoped that it did the trick. "Friends are for free food," she joked and poked Albert in the ribs. There was silence and for once, Ariel did not know what to say exactly. She had run out of questions. She knew he was probably up to something here but she did not bothered to even acknowledge the question in her head. She wasn't a nosy person. Al wasn't surprised that his friend hadn't heard about the place's 'function'. Whoever was in charge of promoting the hotel did so very well. It seemed like a regular five-star hotel, one that would be often frequented by foreign guests when taking a visit over here at Faraway. It even had the normal ameneties of a regular hotel. In fact, Al wouldn't have known what actually happens over at the Agrabah Hotels if a friend of his hadn't told him.
He was probably over-exaggerating when he mentioned that the place was shady, after all, it had penthouse rooms and bellboys and a concierge. But even then, the hotel staff were only a request away from being rent-able. Not to mention that the place was filled with creeps. Sure, rich and well-mannered creeps, but creeps nonetheless. "Well, it probably won't hurt. But just keep safe all the same, yeah?" She was happy to be protective over her. He was reminded of the time back at the orphanage when he'd take care of Tinsley and the others like an older brother would.
He let out a scoff. He really didn't care if people looked at them weirdly for sitting across the staircase. Actually, he had expected people to look at him oddly already, so he wouldn't be the least bit surprised. Al let out a laugh as Ariel answered the rhetorical question, before poking him in the ribs. He rubbed the spot she hit before laughing again. "So, where's my food, then?" It was a good feeling, being with a friend. If only he could stay here for a bit longer. But he knew that it was already running late, and if he wanted to make sure that Adrielle wasn't in the hallways when the creeps started arriving, then he had to send her up to her room by then. "It's getting late. Where are you staying, exactly? I'll bring you to your room." [/blockquote]

Adrielle was pondering what her father was doing now. She wondered how many people he had forced to come looking for her. Shaking her head, she rolled her eyes. Her father always went to extremes with everything. It was tiresome and repitive. She would give anything to break out of her usual routine. Her fathers enraged expression since when she had left the house, most probably would not have changed.
"Okay...yeah. I'll only stay here a day or two." she confirmed to him. However inside, she wasn't sure if she would stick to that time period. Maybe, she would make a dash away from the place today since Ariel tended to over think things. So when Al mentioned 'shady', a lot of vulgar images were placed in her head. However she decided not to mention that to him. Mainly because she did not want to seem vulnerable, all her life she had been trying to escape from being called that so admitting to being scared of anything would not help.
Then Albert asked where his food was and she laughed. "I'll buy you a cookie tomorrow." she promised him and ruffled his hair a little. It had been a long time since Ariel got to enjoy her friend's company and he had to go. She pouted a little. There whole encounter seemed to have lasted five seconds. "Aw well okay. But we have to catch up again sometime!" she told him with a renewed smile. The thought of seeing her buddy again made her feel a little more optimistic.
"Oh er room 207," she said, checking the number on her key. "Thank you. You don't have to...you seem busy?" The statement was framed like a question. Her nosiness in wanting to know what exactly he was doing showed a little. She blushed but it was a barely there pink shade. She wanted Al to confide in her and trust her but it was rude to just upfront ask him so she kept quiet.

She mentioned staying for a day or two, and Al thought that in that time frame, nothing bad could happen to her, right? Sure, she was young, but she wasn't stupid or entirely careless. But in any case, he did worry. Maybe she was better off not knowing what the place actually was. After all, ignorance is bliss. But the question was, did it apply to Adrielle? "In any case, you have my number. Call me if anything happens. Anything. Whatever time it is, okay?" he told her, hoping that she would take his advice. He really would like to make sure she was okay, but given his recent commitments, staying over or even dropping by daily would be quite an accomplishment.
He laughed when she began ruffling his hair, letting out a whine. Acting all excited, his eyes widened at the mention of the cookie. "Coz you know a cookie will make things better. All the time." He stood up from the staircase, wiping the dust off of his jeans before extending his hand to pull her up. He really didn't want to go yet, if things were just up to him. As she stood, he quickly wrapped his arms around her before he spoke again. "Definitely. I'm just one call away."
As they began to walk, led by Al because Ariel leading would probably just make them take the longer route, she threw Al a question that he had been expecting since the time he'd caught her attention. It was actually very polite of her to wait only until now before bringing it up, but knowing Ariel, it must have been eating her insides biting her tongue. Thinking about the best response, he slipped in the elevator and waited for her to enter before pressing '2'. He knew she deserved to know what it was that he was doing, he felt like he couldn't. After all, he didn't want her worrying. Plus, he was a big guy. He can take care of himself anyways. Making her think about it would just be a burden on her. "I...er... How bout this. Next time we meet, I'll tell you what I've been up to. Deal? Provided, of course, that you find a better place to let out steam." It was the best deal that he could think of. He would have told her eventually anyways, but figured that it would be best to do so with something to gain on his end.

It was only just starting to register in Ariel's mind how upset her father would be. Forget being angry, she might even hurt the old man's feelings. That was the last thing she wanted. The two bickered like old ladies but the one thing she hated was seeing her dad cry. Her mother wasn't around to comfort him so it was up to Ariel to do that. But if she was the reason he was crying, it would make her job even harder. The thought of that happening brought tears to her eyes which she quickly blinked away so that Albert wouldn't notice anything. This made her keep a firm decision that her stay in Agrabah would be very short. Two days would be the maximum. "Aww of course I will Al. Thanks." she said with a beam on her face. Trust him to always make her smile no matter what.
She laughed at his statement about cookies and then and then allowed him to lead the way to her room. secretly, she was excited to see the interior of it. It was sure to be breath-taking, just like the rest of the place. Temporarily, all warnings of the place being shady was forgetten and she only saw the beauty of it. Ariel was easily gullible like that so it was always nice to have someone like Al around her to snap her back to reality.
Then Al promised to tell her everything soon and she smiled at him. "Okay," The elevator landed on their floor and Ariel quickly got out. She'd always had a fear of being stuck in elevators which explained her haste to get out. Suddenly she met a wide corridor with many rooms on it. She wasn't sure if the numbers were going up or down so she was clueless to which direction she had to go. There were also many archways leading to other areas of the hotel and this made the trip to her suite even more confusing. She relied on Al to take the lead.
The young girl had grown up like that, relying on everyone else to make things better. Taking care of herself was not the easiest job for her. She was an interdependant person and would be an insult to every feminist in the world. That's why she liked to be rebellious and disobey her father. To show that she could do things on her own. But even in those situations, she needed help from a bystander. Thank heavens that Al happened to be here.
"So you uh happen to know this place well?" she asked him. "Because I'm already confused." Her laughter followed the statement. She made a joke of things whenever the opportunity was available.
