Her simple thanks meant a whole lot to Albert. He wasn't the richest of fellows, so he hardly felt like he was of any use to anyone, mostly because he couldn't provide any financial help or open up topics for intellectual conversations. The most he could do was just listen and try to make whoever he's with feel better, and he was glad that it was well-received by Adrielle. He caught sight of her eyes, looking almost teary, but then Al figured it was probably the way the light glinted off her eyes. He playfully ruffled her hair, muttering a "Don't mention it!" as a response to her thanks.
As the elevator doors slid open, al watched his friend step out rather hurriedly. He laughed, wondering why she was in such a rush. When they were both at the hallway, he caught sight of the girl, looking both sides, a lost look apparent on her face. No doubt she wasn't entirely sure where her room was. Al couldn't blame her entirely though. The place was huge. Heading over to the right wing, the boy called over to the girl headed in the wrong direction.
"207's over here," he laughed.
She threw a comment about him knowing the place rather well, suggesting that he was a frequent visitor. Even if he were particularly active, he couldn't have afforded it here anyways. He wanted to comment, but did away with it instead, knowing that it wouldn't be of any use. Instead, he joked back, "Well, you know me, always with the ladies." He threw his head back and burst out laughing. Gods, he couldn't remember when he had laughed that much.
When things fell rather silent again, they made their way to the room, and Al's thoughts focused on one thing: telling her exactly what he had been doing. What would she think if she found out he was working for a gang. She didn't even know that he was a thief! But he was set on telling her the next time that they met. After all, she deserved the truth. Finally arriving at what seemed to be the room, he stopped, crossing his arms over his chest as he waited for Ms. Summers to pull out her key. [/blockquote]
