Hello, Rita Nancy Scafato.
» Is there anything you would rather be called?
"Make a nickname ;]"
» Great, now that we've got that covered. How old are you?
"I'm twenty one, why whose asking?"
» You know, has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like...?
"Inna? Yeah, that's very flattering, thank you."

Let's talk about your personality.
» What are a few of your favorite things?
"Favourite things eh? As loathed as I am to say it, I do like the idiotic, and usually dangerous things my boys do. They're a bunch of morons, to put it nicely, but they do make me laugh. Of course I love my son, Oscar, very much too, he's two years old now. I like getting myself dressed up, the make up and the gladrags and going out with my girls; not that that happens much these days. I like good music, fast food and being organised. You have no idea how good it feels to have payed off any debts and have a schedule, before someone comes along and screws it over again."
»That's interesting. Is there anything you absolutely dislike?
"I hate my job, hated my old job too. I wouldn't change how my life happened now, because of Oscar and that, but if I could have another shot at it, I would have done things differently that's for sure. But my job - I like cleaning my own things, not other people's! I don't like dull colours like brown or grey - bright is the way to go. I can't really sit still either, I have to be doing something. I've also grown to hate relationships - particularly physical ones. You have no idea how different your body is after a baby."
» Hm, what is your greatest fear?
"Well of course I wouldn't want anything to happen to my son. Anything bad, that is. I live in fear of someone trying to take him off me. Apart from that, I worry that people put a label on me - ex stripper, single mum. It doesn't look great, but I manage."
» Yeah, that is scary. Do you have any dreams for the future?
"Doesn't everyone? I could ring you off a few. I want Oscar to do well in school - when he starts. I want to maybe go part time at a college and get some real education - get a better job. I want to find a nice guy or girl to settle down with, that kind of stuff. The usual boring clichés."
» Wow, I hope you succeed. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
"Sure. As a person I like to be organised. I'm the mother hen of the group, even before I had Oscar, I was clucking after everyone and making sure people were alright. I like a good laugh and a cheeky flirt, although after having a child, it knocks your confidence slightly. I like to think of myself as independant. I know now that I can stand up to people, and wished I did it before because it would have saved me a lot of trouble. I do let my hair down - sometimes. I hate liars and cheats as much as the next person. I sing loudly and out of tune in the shower. My kitchen is annoying me because I don't have enough money to buy utensils that match. In other words, I'm an average girl that all the wrong things have happened to."

So far so good. Now for history.
» So tell me, where are you from? What did you think of it?
"I was born in New York, moved here when I was four. I don't really remember it much to be honest but I've been back a few times since, it's a nice place. As for Faraway, well, I love it. You get used to the strange things happening after a while, but it's still a fun place to be. It's never boring that's for sure."
» Do you have any other family? Parents? Siblings? Extended? What do you think about them?
"My dad was a single parent too, funnily enough. Maybe it runs in the family. He was of Italian descent. My mother lived in New York, and we visited her sometimes. I prefered living with Dad, he was a lot more laidback. I think that's why I always used to befriend boys, girls are too catty for me. Then there's Oscar of course, bless him. My grandma lives in Faraway too, but on the other side of the island. I visit her whenever I have some days off to spare."
» What is your worst memory/memories?
"The first two months of being pregnant was the worst time of my life. First there was the finding out - then telling the man who it was by, Roscoe. There was a...lets say, one sided relationship going on there; I pretty much hated him, even more when he took off. Then I had to tell my boss I was leaving work, that was awful too. There was a lot of uncertainty at the time and I used to get down about it a lot, but that's in the past now. No point worrying over it."
» What is your best memory/memories?
"It's gonna sound cheesy, but the minute the nurse shoved this tiny, red-faced, angry little baby in my arms - that was the best moment of my life. He was such a grumpy little mite, but he was my grumpy little mite. Without going into too many details, the labour wasn't anything like I expected. I invisioned many pain filled days screaming on a hospital bed, when in fact it took just over four hours. But he was worth it."
» Where are you now? What are you doing with your life?
"I live in a dingy two bedroom apartment in downtown Faraway. It's not the nicest place to live but it's easy rent and the neighbours are kind. I work full time as a cleaner in the apartment block. My manager, Fagin, is really cool about it. He lets me take Oscar with me and he watches TV whilst I'm cleaning. Oscar goes to daycare too when I can afford it. I still have my gang - Dodger and the rest of them. To be honest, without them I think I'd fall apart. I'm not seeing anyone right now, thank God. That's the last thing I need."
