Sure, they were drinking, but they hadn't been drinking that much. But then again, he wouldn't have been surprised. The girl didn't seem like she could handle a lot of alcohol. He guided her in his car, a well-maintained black mustang, and locked the seatbelt tightly around her body, making sure that she was kept in place. It was then when he moved to the driver's seat and took his spot, starting the engine before driving off away from the bar.
He looked over to the girl, her figure slumped over lazily on the car. Even in such a state, there was a certain luminosity around her, one that seemed to enhance her beauty. He gathered his thoughts, trying to remember what she had said about where she stayed. Neptune Hotel, wasn't it? It was a good thing that there had been a bridge built that linked the city to the island. Sure, it was the less scenic and romantic view, one that the soon-to-be-married never opted to go for, but it was more efficient, especially for situations like this.
"So, are you really this bad with alcohol?" he asked her. He wasn't entirely expecting a response from the girl, but he couldn't stand the silence, so he figured just blurting out words was the better option. He threw a quick glance over at her, juggling staring at her and back at the road, his eyes focusing on her red, soft lips.
Hearing a horn blaring at him, his attention jolted back on the road, making a quick swerve to the left to avoid slamming into a truck. That was close. Let's just hope she didn't notice that.

Adrielle was tired. For most girls her age, being tired at this time was more or less unheard of. However with her dad and his strict curfew, she usually started to get tired around 9pm. Also the downing of a little alcohol wasn't much help either. She was thankful for Chad driving her home. Stumbling a little into the car, she slunk onto the seat and appreciated the softness of it. He seatbelted her in and she managed to muster a grateful smile. The car started and she jolted a little. This made her feel a little less sleepy than she previously was.
At that moment, Ariel didn't care what her father would say when he saw his daughter making her way to their house at around 1am in the morning. He would be enraged for sure, but she'd make a joke of it in her head and try and block out the noise of him yelling. It was the easier thing to do that back chat. Back chatting always took a lot of effort which she lacked as Chad drove her home.
When he questioned her, she wanted to cringe. He must think she was an idiot. Seemingly getting drunk after like a sip of beer. Truth was, she wasn't drunk. Just really tired. "Nah. Believe it or not, I am actually really tired. I usually tend to knock out at around nine." she told him truthfully. Ariel surprised herself by talking. It was a lame sentence but it was something.
The car made a quick swerve but she decided not to comment. However she did not want to stay silent. Staring at the back of his neck, she bit her lip. "So how often do you offer to drive girls home?" She found it within herself to make a joke. As they drove, Ariel peeked through the window to get a good look of her surroundings. They were slightly familiar so at least she knew they were going in the right direction.

you heard that i was trouble , BUT YOU COULDN'T RESISTJ U S T T A K E A B I T E L E T M E S H A K E U P Y O U R W O R L D- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Chad let out a hearty laugh. Did he even hear her correctly?? She gets knocked out around nine? The man began to worry, wondering if he had accidentally picked up a minor. He had hoped not, after all, she would have been a total waste. That's of course, assuming he opted not to go for her. After all, age was just a number. The way she slurred her reply, it was obvious that she was indeed out of it. If he hadn't known otherwise, he would have assumed that the girl was sleep talking.
"Well, alcohol does help in a lot of things," he teased. In a weird sort-of-way, the girl was cute. The simple child-like qualities she had, they were endearing. He made another left turn at the end of the road, the bridge now in sight. He stepped on the gas and the car accelerated forward. It was late, and if the girl was tired, it was highly unlikely that he'd get any action. So Chad figured that the sooner he'd get her home, the sooner he'd get back to the bar and maybe find another girl to spend the night with.
"Honestly? I don't," he asked her, attempting a certain innocent tone to his voice. "Usually, I offer to bring them over to my place." Chad was a smooth talker, that was for sure. But he seldom lied to women about himself and his motives. After all, he didn't really need to. Plus, he didn't want the girl thinking that he was serious. The last thing he wanted was for her to think that he wanted to be in something serious. All he wanted was fun and he wanted to make sure that whoever he was going to hook up with wanted the same thing. He learned the lesson the first time.
"So, what do y-?" he began, but then decided not to continue. He figured the girl would probably have to put way too much effort in mustering a reply. Instead, he just smiled over at her and drove on steadily, watching as the image of the hotel became clearer.

Adrielle, if she wasn't so tired, would have regretted her words immediately. Chad probably now looked upon her as a little child. But to be honest, things would be safer and better off if they stayed that way. She didn't bother to open her mouth to say anything in her defense. It would only make her seem even more child-like. Instead she let herself get jostled around in the back seat of the car like a helpless rag doll. In her head, she wished the journey would last forever so that she would not have to face a big confrontation scene with her father. It wouldn't be pretty.
Then Ariel let out a grunt in response to his statement. Not thinking there was anything else to be said, she closed her eyes and willed for sleep to come to her. This way there would be no awkward silence to beat. She was unsuccessful. Sleep seemed to evade her. Slowly, the girl started to regain herself awake. As if a cup of coffe had been downed.
He spoke and she had nothing else to do but reply. "Oh I see. Well should I be glad that I am not going to your place?" she asked him with her eyebrows raised even though she knew he would not actually be able to see her expression. Another silence, it was killing her. Chad began to ask her a question but stopped in his tracks. Her mind decided to pursue him.
"No...wait. What were you going to say?" she asked, trying not to make predictions of his answer. It would make things all the more worse. Her mouth was tightly shut, anticipating an answer from him. She didn't just want to blurt out a new conversation topic without him answering her question. No one ever got away without answering her queries. It was how things worked. Hopefully he would get the message sooner or later.
As the car continued on its way, Ariel realised that they were definitely getting closer to her house. She mentally cringed. Her father would be home. Waiting. Maybe with a gun. Please let it be that he has fallen asleep. It was like carrying false hope but Adrielle could not help herself. Anything to keep away thoughts of her father screaming at her. It wasn't frightening, only moderately scary, but mainly just irritating.

He couldn't help but laugh at her. It was almost a fact that he had thought of just bringing the girl over to his place and probably spend hours just fooling around. He was pretty sure that Ariel wouldn't be against it. Or at the very least, he was sure she'd enjoy things eventually anyways. Now what happened during Chad's thought process from "taking her home" to actually taking her home is very blurry. Even Chad, if he would look back to this day, wouldn't know why he acted the way he did.
"Be glad? Oh, you'd be missing a lot," he clarified, smiling over as he looked at the rear view mirror, staring at the girl's ruffled reflection. "Don't worry. I'll bring you over to my place sometime soon. It'll be an experience you won't forget. I guarantee it." He wasn't entirely sure if the girl would remember the conversations that they were having right now, but he figured she wouldn't. He did, however, hope that she would, because he meant what he had said. He was set on taking the girl back to his place, at least some time soon.
He let out a nervous laugh. Chad couldn't believe that she caught that. For someone who was practically out of her wits, she still managed to remain observant of her surroundings and whatever what was happening around her. "Caught that, huh? Well, I was just going to ask, what exactly were you doing in a bar this late? I mean, you did say that you usually hit the sack early on. Why be at a bar, and on a weekday?" Chad asked, being rather frank about his question. He was certain there was probably no harm in just asking what she was doing in a place like that, yeah?
Chad watched the rear view mirror, judging the expressions on Ariel's face as they were nearing the establishment. Somehow, the calmness that was present in her early, during her 'dazed' state, was slowly washing away, being replaced by a rather undefinable expression. He wasn't sure what it meant, but he was sure that it meant a great deal. "Strict dad, huh?"

Adrielle hadn't really considered what would happen if she had gone over to Chad's place. He'd probably try a few tricks and she'd most probably go along with it. She was more or less open to anything and would do anything to break out of her boring everyday routine. It wouldn't be the wisest choice to shake things up by getting drunk and sleeping with someone she had only just met but it was a start. However, Adrielle was going home and the thought of her own warm and welcoming bed was enough to make herself look forward to going home. And even to ignore her father and his frown and unshaven beard.
Feeling a lot more awake, she grinned. "Ah well I will have to take you up on that offer sometime and see if your guarantee is still valid." she replied slyly. Ariel always had a comeback for anything. She was used to winning in the war of the wits. Pondering whether Chad would be a worthy opponent, she rubbed the back of her neck. She must have almost-fallen-asleep in an awkward position.
"Well, I was just going to ask, what exactly were you doing in a bar this late?"
[/i]. Ariel wondered how to answer to that. Purposely, she was silent for a few seconds before giving him a reply. "I fancied a change," she said simply, not wanting to elaborate. Truth was she was just rebelling against her father, annoying him intentionally but she was not ready to admit that to Chad just yet. Someone like Al would have automatically guessed what she was doing in a bar late at night but she'd only just met Chad. He'd have to get used to her random actions which orientated around the goal of pissing of daddy. "Strict? That word is too kind to describe him." she said with a snort. Her dad was more like an army general who over-reacted to almost everything. "What about you? Don't your 'rentals mind?" Chad had not mentioned his parents and she hoped that it was not a touchy subject for him. Chad stared over at the rear view mirror, flashing a smile at Ariel for what she had said. The girl was great, because even if she was kidding, then she definitely knew how to talk and act flexibly around people. And even though her eyes were playing hard to stay awake, he knew she could see his sheepish grin. And well, if she was serious about it, then he would definitely have enjoyed it all the more. "Oh, trust me. You're not gonna get the short end of this stick," he replied, letting out a laugh.
At the mention of wanting some change, a bunch of thoughts raced all over his head. He tried assessing her with other women he's dated before. Well, she clearly has some father issues. It's apparent in the tone that she has when she mentions him. Most likely one that was controlling, given how she acts all rebellious. Now, she mentions something about fancying a change? Well, obviously, she just wants to get out of her life and be more impulsive. Honestly, it sounded rather eerily familiar. Looking over at the mirror, seeing the half-asleep red-head, it was sort of like looking at himself. He, of course, would never admit to such sappiness. He made sure that he kept his assessment of her to himself first though, just to be on the safe side. As she began to tell him a small bit about her father, he somehow imagined one of those scary and old-fashion hunters in Singapore. Those that kidnap people, throw them in an island, and start hunting. Hopefully, her dad was nothing like that.
He shrugged rather indifferently when she asked about his parents. "Nah, parents are always too busy. I don't like to bother them. Just like they don't bother me." Actually, his parents did bother him a lot. Although they couldn't control his actions, they tried their best to hamper his activities in case they got too out of hand, after all, the mayor and his family have to learn to keep up images.
Seeing the hotel in full-scale now, he half-opened his mouth, rather amazed at the beauty of it up close. Sure, he had seen pictures of the Neptune Hotel, but none of them ever really gave it justice. If the lost city of Atlantis weren't lost, it probably would have looked like the hotel. He drove up a couple of meters away from the main lobby before pulling over. He had dated enough girls to know that bringing a girl over to the door during the first encounter, well, let's just say he didn't want to 'experience the wrath' of her strict father.
"Looks like we're here," he called out to her, placing his hands behind his head and leaning backwards.

"Let's hope so," Adrielle replied with the tiniest hint of a smirk. Suddenly going back home didn't seem so bad. The atmosphere seemed to have lightened a little. Thinking about it, Ariel wouldn't have known how to get home without Chad if she was this tired and the time was this late. She made a mental note to thank fate sometime for it's usefullness. For once... she thought.
She wondered why she wasn't scared. Scared of being in a stranger's car. It was something young females were told not to do. Never get into a stanger's car as you don't know where they will take you or what they will do with you. It was funny how Ariel instantly just trusted Chad to take her home. Maybe it was her desperation to get home. It still perplexed her. A little too much to drink? It was probably her first time actually consuming a decent-ish amount of alcohol.
Chad talked about his parents and she listened intently. "Oh ok," Ariel didn't really know what else to say without the risk of angering or upsetting the guy. She wanted to tell him how she'd rather have a busy parents than one who traces your every step but she held her mouth. From experience she knew that only heated arguments would arise if they started to debate touchy issues. For a moment only the sound of the engine was audible. Her eyes darted around the car, taking in it's prescence. It was well maintained and sophisticated. Almost reflected Chad's personality.
Ariel spotted the hotel and sighed. She'd seen it so many times that it failed to amaze her and especially after seeing Agrabah Hotel it seemed nothing in comparison. When others, like Chad, saw it they would comment on how great it was and Ariel would just nod glumly. He announced that they had arrived and she smiled. "Ahhh well thank you so much for everything," she told him, feeling a little upset that she had to go. It was beginning to sink in now. "I'm not going to forget that offer of yours!" Then she straightened herself up a little, about to get out of the car. She understood that Chad wouldn't want to come and meet her father and in a way she hoped he wouldn't so it was all good for him to stay in his car. "Well uhm bye,"
Ariel was never good at goodbye's even if they were just casual.

Chad let out a silent chuckle. 'Let's hope so.' That was what she had said, wasn't it? Did that mean that she was rather willing to hook up then? Chad beamed, glad that his trip to the bar wasn't entirely a total waste. After all, he did meet a new girl, one that he was sure he would spend a lot of time with in the future.
He had talked about his parents, just casually responding to her question, and it earned him a rather flat reply. It wasn't as though he meant for her to throw a pity party, nor did he want her to show more concern. It just seemed like she was expecting an answer that he hadn't mentioned. She had probably thought he was highly bothered by the lack of parental guidance, when in fact, he wasn't. Well, alright, maybe he was. Just a little.
As he drove the last few meters towards the hotel, it was pure silence. Nothing but the silent hum of the engine matched with the gentle whisper of the airconditioning. As she thanked him, he gave him a smile, muttering a "Don't mention it" tied together with a wink.
Chad stepped out of the car, and held the door open for Adrielle, smiling sheepishly when she mentioned about not forgetting his offer. Heck, even if she had forgotten, Chad would have made sure to remind the girl. He wasn't about to let her slip away from him that easily. He extended his arm, holding hers as he assisted her out. He carefully guided the young girl as she stepped outside his car, an air of his gentleman-like charms made itself known to Ariel. He shut the door just as she had said her farewell, and even though they had only spoken for hours, he could tell that both of them were reluctant to part ways.
Taking one deep breath, Chad leaned forward, gently pressing the girl in between his body and the car. He moved his hands unto her face, his fingers holding her head in position as his thumb grazed her cheek. He locked his eyes in her gaze, throwing her a look of fascination. He smiled sincerely at her, before focusing his attention on her lips. Without another moment's thought, he pressed his lips against hers, tasting the fruit-like coating around it. He fell deep into the kiss, leaning his face forward, pressing more into her. He bit her lower lip playfully, letting out a wide smile as he slowly pulled away from her. He trailed his hands back down to his sides, keeping his eyes on her.
"Just a little sneak peek for the next time," he told her, smirking as she watched her head up to the hotel doors.
