It had been a long time that Peter had been deciding that he wasn't in any hurry to go to college or get a job or anything of the sort. Yes he was an orphan..yes he was lonely now that he no longer lived at the orphanage, but he also had a lot of money that his dear mother had left to him after she had passed. So it wasn't like he had to work or go to college or do anything crazy...at least not for a good twenty years or so. So that left him just being a wild and crazy kid...at least he thought he was still a kid. He had every right to be. He didn't have a normal childhood obviously, so he was slightly set back by not ever having the fun times that most kids had...family vacations, brothers and sisters, regular school days...none of that. He was raised by his mother for awhile but when she passed that was it...he was on his own, and all the fun times he could have had were gone with her. It really had done a number on the boy.
So as he made his way through the forest a few months ago his mind was on overdrive....why not make his place to live, a huge tree house in the middle of the forest? It really would suit him! He loved to be up high...in more ways than one...and he would really enjoy living out there away from all the hustle and bustle of adult life. He wanted to be a kid forever. Tromping through the forest he found a huge old Oak tree. It was one of the biggest he had ever seen, and it would be perfect for his home, so the past several weeks that was all he had been doing. Working on the ultimate treehouse, complete with plumbing and electricity that he had managed to wrangle a friend of his to work into the design. In the end it could have been classified as a a tree mansion more so than a tree house. It was pretty dang awesome, and he was more than a little proud of himself, and the people that he had help him build it. Now he was moving in to the ultimate dream for every young kid, and he couldn't be more excited about it.
Dragging a bag full of food up the ladder and stairs was a bit of a pain in the arse no doubt about that, but once he had it up and in the refrigerator it was time to munch. Opening a large bag of Doritos he started munching on them while sitting on the balcony to his room. Yeah this was no mere mortals tree house..this was Peter Chopin's home, and it was perfection. Just like him. Though as he sat there, the orange cheese powder collecting on his fingers as he slowly made his way through the bag he couldn't help but sigh. What was the point of having the most awesome tree house in existance if no one was there to share it with you? " This kinda sucks." he sighed and popped open a coke as he stared out over the forest floor wishing that someone would come along to play with.

Scott had just finished his shift at The Cave, and he was pretty tired. He had been there as early as 8pm, getting ready for Ladies Night Wednesdays, and most of the young girls went to the joint early. So Scott was pretty much dancing on stage for a good 6 hours. Though he had breaks in between, it's wasn't enough for him to actually 'rest'. But that wasn't the entire reason he was tired. If stripping was the only thing he did, then he would have been home by 4am. But no. He hadn't even gone a couple of meters away when a black Range Rover pulled over right next to him, tinted windows and everything. At the time, it seemed like a pretty good idea to earn a few extra bucks by getting into a stranger's car. Why wouldn't it have been? It wasn't like he hadn't done anything like that before. Plus, he was still wide awake. He figured a little night exercise would help him drift off to sleep faster once he got home.
But now, the sun was high up on the sky, and dark circles have already formed under his eyes. Scott wasn't a morning person, and not just because of his job's requirements. And he was practically dragging his feet along as he slumped down the dirt path he was passing. He would have taken the bus back to the outskirts, but it was rush hour, and he wasn't a fan of crowds. Besides, he knew a shortcut through the Woods that led directly to just a few blocks from his place. He knew that it wouldn't be long until he could finally retire to his bed.
A good thing about passing through here was that there was little to no chance that anyone would see him. Especially now that he was all messed up. His button-down shirt was creased in all directions, with the top two buttons ripped out. His hair was messed up too, and he didn't even bother fixing it. He neither had the energy nor the motivation to do so. Had he taken the bus from the city, he would have been mistaken for a homeless man, no doubt about it.
His mind was still wandering senselessly, as he took a left down the trail, when something caught his eye. A huge structure atop one of the trees. Was this always here? he wondered to himself. Maybe he was hallucinating. Perhaps he was too tired and his mind was playing tricks on him. After all, why on earth would there be a house in the middle of the woods? It couldn't be here. Scott shook his head, half-laughing at his own imagination. But there was something else in the house. Was that a person? Though the boy wasn't sure, whether it was actually something he was seeing or just an after effect of sleep deprivation, he could have sworn there was someone in the house.
