It happened again, the Nightmares. She had found herself falling and falling, in what seemed to be an endless dark abyss. She had reached for the walls for anything to stop her fall, to no avail. Just when she thought she was going to finally stop, it just kept going, the floor had been coming up fast, she was going to die! Then with a start she sat up quickly realizing she was in her queen size bed, covered in a fluffy down blanket. She was fine, she wasn't falling, she hadn't followed a white rabbit into his hole. She really needed to lay off the "pixie special." That particular drug had her hallucinating more than any other she had ever taken. Figured as much that the young girl would make the nightmares worse by chemically altering her body on a semi daily basis. Sitting up, propped against her pillows she reached towards the chair beside the bed grabbing her blue satin robe off of it and slipped it around her body as she stepped into her slippers. It was a semi chilly morning and all she wanted to do was to get some hot coffee and get ready to start her day.
Padding into the kitchen she lit the stove, filled the kettle with water and set it on the burner so that it would boil. Pulling open the curtains above her sink she looked out into the garden, and had to quickly do a double take. There was a small white rabbit sitting there munching down on the carrot tops. " Well, thats just bloody perfect." sighing she shook her head and headed to the bathroom scooping up a pill bottle that had been perscribed for her for her hallucinations. Popping one of the pills she sipped some water just as she heard the tea kettle begin to whistle. Pouring the hot water through the filter with the coffee grounds she allowed the coffee to perculate as she went to brush her teeth. After finishing her morning rituals she grabbed the coffee cup and headed to sit in the garden, still in the satiny robe. She didn't ever really care who saw her this way, it never phased her. Lowering herself onto a lounge chair she watched as the white rabbit made its way through her garden and towards a tree and right down into his rabbit hole. " No way in hell im going over there buddy." She called out to the rabbit and tossed her long blonde hair out of her face and sat back to enjoy the morning. Hearing a twig crack near by she looked up quickly almost spilling her coffee at the sound. " Who's there?" she shielded her eyes against the rising sun looking for the source of the noise.

SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME“Er…Jonah, are you sure this is a good idea? I’m feeling a bit stupid right about now.”
And he probably looked just that; standing in front of a bush with leaves sticking out of his hair and a twig slowly working itself into a spot that he refused to think about. According to his agent, doing a photo shoot for Natural, some kind of weird cologne line, was a good idea; some kind of ‘branching out’ thing that his image was in need of. He had to get away from the good-boy-sports-player stereotype, Jonah had declared, because he wouldn’t be carrying a hockey stick for the rest of his life. Once his career was over, he’d need another image to carry him through retirement; sponsors who would continue to be interested in him in years to come.
It was really too bad that one of said sponsors wanted him to pose up against a pricker bush in his boxers. Oh, the day was just starting out to be freaking wonderful…
“But Mr. Kingston!” The photographer put his camera down to wave frantically at the bush currently making friendlies with his butt. “This is art! It will be beautiful; you will see! Now, raise your hockey stick over your head like a warrior striking his foe!”
Oh yeah, he wanted to strike someone, alright…
With a patience he never knew he had, he toughed it out and did what he was told. He’d made his warrior poses, something the photographer liked to call a ‘blossoming rose,’ and was now intent on rewarding himself with a short hike through the woods, as if to wash off those impending nightmares with the scent of the pine trees. Blossoming rose…good Lord, he sometimes wondered who came up with these things!
Tugging at the sleeves of his black shirt, he strolled down a particularly winding path. The sounds of orders being given, scurrying feet and engines roaring faded behind him, and he finally found himself relaxing. Sponsors for when he was older his ass…he just KNEW that some of those pictures would be showing up in tomorrow’s tabloids. He could see it now; Famous Hockey Player Turns Artistic?
Ugh, he was never going to hear the end of this from his friend Xavier, if he found out. Please, if there is a God, have mercy—
The sound of a woman’s voice had his mind jerking back to the present, and Phil’s head snapped up in surprise. At some point, he must have wandered off of his little ‘break trail’ and wandered right into a lady’s backyard. Oh, awesome…he could add ‘wanna-be pervert’ to that headline.
Putting his hands up in a ‘I’m really harmless’ gesture, he offered the girl a sheepish smile. “Sorry, ma’am; I didn’t mean to trespass. I was taking a walk and kinda lost my way.”

Oh my dear god...hot guy alert! Alice instantly blushed when she saw the source of the breaking sticks, realizing quickly that she was a little underdressed to be entertaining at the moment she wrapped the satiny robe tighter around her and managed to stammer out a reply. " Your not really trespassing...and where did you come from anyway? I'm out in the middle of no where here." she smiled politely at him unable to keep from checking out his buff arms in the jersey he was wearing. It was often that Alice had visitors, not of the human variety anyway, it was normally just animals that made their way through the backyard. She wasn't used to being seen in her robe by anyone, so she felt uber self conscious. " Um...feel free to join me...if you don't mind I will run inside really quickly and change into something um....a little more guest friendly." blushing again the bright red of the strawberries growing in the garden she hightailed it inside indicating to him a lawn chair beside hers as she darted away. Throwing open her closet door her eyes scanned quickly over the many clothes she had hanging up in color order. She was a little ocd when it came to her clothes and her closet, always wanting to make sure she could find exactly what she was looking for. "oh dear lord what am i doing?" she laughed a little at herself before selecting the perfect outfit not too much, just perfect for sitting in the garden in the early morning. It was comfy and didn't show that she was trying to hard...even though her heart said she needed to stop it. She always got all boy crazy. It was just part of the way she was. Stepping back out the door she smiled at him, " I'm Alice, Alice Kingsley." holding out her hand to him she blushed a little. " Would you care for some coffee? Or perhaps a hot tea? I think I even may have some wine or soda or something if you would prefer." she was ever the little hostess. " If you need to call someone to find your way back...you can use my phone...or I can try to help you find your way back through the forest, but I must warn you..I get lost easily..and tend to trip over things..." giggling a little she sat back down in the chair beside him grabbing her cup and sipping at her coffee. She was nervous, but trying to not show it she smiled at him again feeling like a total dork. " so...it looks like you may have a few scratches and things...what were you doing out here? I have something to clean them up for you if you would like...just have to go inside......" (not my best..sorry!)

SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS MEWell…wasn’t this just the pinnacle of a really bad day? First, he’d been molested by a bush because he didn’t want his career to fade away, then he’d lost his way in the woods, and now he was officially trespassing on someone else’s property. What else could go wrong? Random lightning strike? His pants getting caught on something, causing him to moon the poor girl?
Gah, focus, Kingston; he mentally sighed. Nice lady at twelve o’clock. He really did hope that she wasn’t one of those ‘tweeters.’ Not that such a girl-next-door looking girl would know his face; most of them weren’t exactly die hard hockey fans. But, then again…he had been wrong in the past.
Making himself look as harmless as possible- which was probably wishful thinking, given that he looked like a shaggy scarecrow- he managed a small smile as he put his hands down. The girl looked so flushed that an apology flew straight to his lips…not that he got a chance to utter them.
“Ah, no, you don’t have to change…dammit.” The latter part was muttered under his breath as he watched her flee inside. Awkwardly, he glanced from the indicated lawn chair to the forest path that he’d just stumbled out of. Should he stay? Or try to head on back to the shoot? It wasn’t like he wanted to have another go at nature, but the others had to be looking for him by now. Damn, he really did hope that no one called the cops, thinking he’d gotten eaten by a squirrel…
Just as he’d made up his mind to leave, the girl returned. Well…okay, he had to be dead ten times over not to notice how pretty she looked, giving her a mild once over as he took a step closer. Finally doing as he was told, he sat down onto the offered lawn chair and shook his head
“No, I’m fine, thanks,” He said, by way of the refreshment offer. “Oh…yeah, it was kind of random to wander through the forest, huh? My name’s Phil; Phil Kingston. It’s nice to meet you, Miss Kingsley.”
When she pointed out the source of the now noticeable stinging on his arms, he looked down and bit back a sigh. Awesome; now he really looked like he’d been attacked by a rabid squirrel. “Oh, they’re just scratches; I’ll be fine. Thanks for the offer. I’m actually here doing a photo shoot near the camp grounds. I got a bit tired of posing so I thought I’d take a walk…and, well, here I am.”
A sheepish smile came onto his lips as he shifted in his chair. “I’m sorry for barging in on you like that. I guess I don’t get into the woods as often as I should.”
