Burn it down till the embers smoke on the ground ---------------------------------------------------------- Knee deep in pride, Melina walked down the hallways of The Tower heading toward to the destination point she and an old acquaintance had decided to meet upon. In her steady and sharp pace, no one dared keep in her way, any person walking the long hallways would quickly step to the side, most used to having to move out of her way. They knew she would first bump into them then move aside for anyone as unimportant as the occupants of the rooms on the same hotel as her. Melina stood at the hotel elevator; her hips leaning to the right and the rest of her body curving along with them, a hand on her hip. She would not wait for the elevator, what did the place think she was? A regular guest? She practically owned the place or at big share of it. She didn't even bother clicking the button to check if the elevator might have been on the same floor as her. While inspecting her (literally) blood red nails, wisps of green flames formed around her. They started off sporadicly forming around her, then slowly forming into an oval shell around her; the freshly cleaned tile heating under the heat. At this point, she had left a slight scorching, black circle on the spot often used.
Melina appeared at Floor 30's restaurant scene. Petty humans occupying most tables available on the public room. The male doorman looking at her with a shocked confused look. She rarely visited such a place as public as this but she would have thought people would get used to seeing magic after 1483 years since magic had become sealed away from humans. Apparently not. Her hand moving away from her face and her attention moving back toward her destination. Her heels audible as she walked toward the guard for the private eating sections. He stared at her with a tough look and then proceeded to look over to the other men set around the restaurant as if asking for advice on what to do next. It seemed that she had created a scene already, stirring everyone's attention over to herself. Now a few feet from her, the room's guard extended his hand and opened his palm to signal her to stop and spoke with a deep voice; one that would have shaken walls if the room was any quieter. "Excuse me Ma'am, where do you think you're going? Do you have permission to come here?" He seemed to be a bit shaken up but not at all intimidated by a woman, specially when Melina happened to be quite a few feet shorter than him and not full of bulk.
The self proclaimed Mistress of Evil raised an Eyebrow at the man standing before her."I don't believe we've met but let me assure you. I don't deal with under-developed Cyclops. Out of my way." Melina moved on towards the door, her direction not changing any bit. The man, now a bit red from embarresment or maybe anger, moved his sweaty hand over to the petite shoulders of the 35 year old looking body. Her lip curling at the touch, the only thing that could have worsened her mood would have been his Polyphemus imitation "Ma'am, I'm afraid we ca-"That had broken the last straw, his voice only to be cut out by his mouth shaping into that of a toad's. In an instant, the rest of his form went along with the sudden metamorphosis that the guard's mouth had taken. The little critter croaked. The sorceress walked forward, a hand on the code locked doorknob before turning back toward the critter on the ground and speaking in a spiteful yet relaxed tone "Slimy git, lets see what kind of fairytale you give a happy ending to." With a smirk and a cackle, Melina simple pushed the door open and walked into the dimly lit room with purple walls and velvet curtains. Stepping toward the seats, Melina's heel stepped on everything in its path, leaving a once normal man as a one legged frog.[/blockquote] ---------------------------------------------------------- TAG Eve Word Count 679 Lyrics Your Hear Is An Empty Room by Death Cab For Cutie. EVERYONE THINKS THAT I HAVE IT ALLC A S T L E W A L L SBUT IT'S SO E M P T Y LIVING BEHIND THESE Eve sat idly in her seat, taking a sip from her margarita while admiring the view. She was seated in the special lounge over here at the five-star, 50s-themed, dining restaurant at the thirtieth floor of the Tower, and she enjoyed being here. It wasn't just the fact that the place was situated in a location where she could easily spot the poolside, seeing the random shirtless men and well-toned women as though fruits ripe for the picking. Rather, it was because being here, together with the more upscale residents of the Tower, made her feel great. She took another sip and crossed her legs as she lighted up a cigarette.
She didn't really understand why she had agreed to meeting with her friend Melina here. She would much rather spend the day over at the spa or at the gym. Anything else would probably more productive than this. Well, maybe because it all stems from the fact that her friend wasn't exactly a friend. Oh, sure, they liked one another, but only up to a certain extent. Heck, she even liked Oz better than her. But it was probably a good thing though, as their friendship is a constant reminder that she had to bring it. See, these two, though they joke around about their internal competition, actually take them very seriously. And if she wasn't constantly looking over her shoulder to make sure Melina didn't just get one up over her, then she probably wouldn't be as great as she was now. That was probably one of the things she appreciated about her.
She took a long drag from her cigarette, feeling the cool menthol sensation travel down to her lungs when she heard a commotion from the inside. There were a bunch of gasps and awes and it was then that she knew her friend had arrived. She always had to make quite an entrance, much like herself. As she neared her, Eve gently placed her cigarette on the ashtray, standing up and greeting her friend with a modest kiss on the cheek and a hug. When they broke apart, she sat down again, almost instantaneously.
"You really should learn to control yourself, love," she told her, taking another sip from her drink as she offered her a cigarette stick. "Would you look at you, you look great," Eve complimented her, half rolling her eyes when she wasn't looking. She flicked her wrist, telling the waiter to bring them bread and some jam.

Burn it down till the embers smoke on the ground ---------------------------------------------------------- Stepping in to the room, Melina looked at what that hideous smell was. At first she thought it was only the smoke that lingered from various visitors but upon closer inspection, it turned out to be Eve La'Quinn- the "royal" mid-life crisis. She always seemed to be drinking smoking and swooning over boys as if they were food and she hadn't had a bite to eat since the 18th century. She was pure disgust. Carrying around her foul self everywhere as if she had poise or elegance. She put up a friendly smile for Eve to see but if anyone knew Melina Lilith one bit, they knew she smiled rarely if at all and if you saw her smile, it was a sure sign that you needed to go grave-shopping soon.
Eve stood up and faced Melina to greet her. The formal greeting for a "friend" being a hug and a kiss on the cheek. The hug feeling like being berried in bags of (very clearly) magically-treated skin, the peck leaving the smell of tobacco being predominant over the stench radiating out of the woman's mouth. A scowl passing over the face of Melina as the gestures are returned and a quick smile once more before sitting down opposite the wench.
The wretched voice broke in to her thoughts(most of which were filled with ways to freshen the room without giving too big of a hint to her unwanted guest) just to give her advice upon her character then jeer at her far superior looks. If anyone was to give advice it was Melina. As her face reflected a calm facade, Melina spoke her mind, " Well you would know about the temper, wouldn't you? What was that saying about age and wisdom?" A warm smile spreading across her lips trying hard to keep the smirk away. Legs crossing and a hand upon the other, Melina sat in now a kind of actual content state. This was one of the reasons she kept that old bag around, the simple pleasure of having being on edge while having a relaxed meal. As the waiter came over with the jam and bread, Melina shook her head in disapproval, motioning the bread and jam over to Eve's side of the table with a polite smile, the look in the waiter's face in a confusion having seen her walk into the room. Politely asking the waiter to bring her miniature napoleons with eggplant creme. "I'm actually on a vegan diet so I don't eat food unless I know what's in it. You should try it. It might make you look slimmer. Not to say you look big or anything. You look just fine just the way you are." A soft chuckle escaping her throat, the over-done smile as if painted in place. A satisfactory look on Melina as the waiter came back with her food. She couldn't help but stare at the bread and jam and smile.[/blockquote] ---------------------------------------------------------- TAG Eve Word Count five-hundred and nine Lyrics Your Hear Is An Empty Room by Death Cab For Cutie. EVERYONE THINKS THAT I HAVE IT ALLC A S T L E W A L L SBUT IT'S SO E M P T Y LIVING BEHIND THESE
Not even five minutes had passed and Eve was already regretting that she had today in her plans. Though, she supposed that things could maybe, by some unnatural and unexplainable phenomenon, shoot up later on as the day went by. She just hoped that she wouldn't lose her mind before then. Taking another long drag from her cigarette, she inhaled, the cool menthol heading straight to her head. Oh, how relaxing it felt. A good smoke matched with alcohol was just the perfect way to distract her from the woman in front of her. She carefully puffed the smoke out, deliberately, though not obviously, blowing the smoke into Melina's face.
She then watched as the other woman threw a snide comment at her. Eve curled her lip, wanting to just slap her, but they had to rebut sneakily. That was the way they did things. She ticked the ash from the edge of her stick as she let out dry laugh. "Speaking of age, I hope you don't mind the place. I wanted to dine in place with a 50s theme because, you know I know how much it takes you back when you were...younger." She let out a hearty and rather fake laugh, giving Melina a gentle pat on the shoulder. She waved for another waiter and asked to pour her companion a glass of wine, and he did so diligently.
As the warm and toasty bread arrived, Eve watched as the woman practically shoved it on to her side of the table, asking the waiter to bring her something else. She bit her lip, trying hard not to scream. Instead, she helped herself to a slice, thinly spreading some orange marmalade on her toast. As she took a bite, the other woman began to yell her about her vegan diet, and though she tried rather hard, she was sure the look of contempt was ever present in her glare. She ignored her statement, taking another bite, before looking over at her food and urging her to eat. "Oh, that's why you look rather bony and pale. I swear, diets like that, they take away from the nutrients you're supposed to get from food," she exclaimed as though just realizing something. She grabbed her by the cheeks gently and tilted her head to the right, as though analyzing her face. "Definitely lacking in some iron there, dear."
Taking another bite from the toast, she glanced over to the poolside. Though the figures weren't too big, since they were rather far away, she could still appreciate them. It took her a few moments to realize that she was grinning to herself in the midst of the company of others. Turning back to her friend, she began to interrogate her.
"So, how have you been? How've you been keeping yourself busy?" Her questions were spoken with sincerity, since Eve really did want to know what she had been doing in her life. Mostly so that she could find a way to rub in her face that her life was better. "The tabloids say your shining star Aurelia Dawning is slowly breaking free from your grip. I hope things aren't that bad."

Burn it down till the embers smoke on the ground ---------------------------------------------------------- Fascinated by her own self, Melina watched watched as the red lips of the woman raised disgust; the look making her look... better? Or maybe that was just something Melina liked to look at in the woman's face, anger. Picking up her silverware, with a touch of her fingers, the utensils turned to pure obsidian eating utensils. The knife cutting perfectly through the meal, the fork as if easily sliding into the zucchini, cremini mushrooms caps, eggplant creme and plum tomatoes, no applied pressure into the insertion. Melina, mentally laughing at the comment thrown at her. Clearly, the woman was trying too hard to impress her and it would not work. With a smirk slipping into her face, totally unaware of the polite game being played, at this point. "Ha, the wonders that slowed aging does, seems like I perfected the spell a bit better though." A soft laugh escaping her mouth before realizing who was sitting before her. The smile faded as Eve ruined her light mood with a slight comment toward her weight "problem" and relatively cheap red wine was poured onto her glass. If the drunkard liked this, it was probably filled with alcohol. The voice that made even her gargoyles cover their ears spoke on endlessly and proceeded to touch her face. A fake smile sliding into her face as she thought of the slimy hands touching her. Who was as rude as to touch someone's face or anything else for that matter while they ate. "Oh, you must have gotten your manners from the 1600's how quaint and... traditional and you know darling, skinny is in. If you wish, I could try to touch up those... slight flaws?" An actual smile on her face now trying hard to not become an altogether laugh. Her arm raised, finger twirling around the air leaving a trail of green mist that seemed to swirl to her will. "I have a touch of precision. You'd be in good hands. Though that would change depending on your definition of good." a fake laugh following the sentence. Following the eyesight of the elder woman,(if only from an objective look) she found herself looking at the boys at the poolside over with disgust. She was sure there were about 20 boys just lunging around. This might have been the reason Eve had gotten here early. That nympho never seemed to have enough boys around her, a grin appearing as disgust poured over Melina. It was one thing to insult her with snarky remarks but it was another to do so to her career. You know, how the paparazzi is, rumor rumor rumors. I've got her closed off from the world for a while. She needs the practice. her singing is getting drab, boring, repetitive. Apart from managing, I have been up to my old schemes. It seems evil is coming back into fashion. What about you, what have you done to keep yourself from going insane, I'm sure you can't just stare at those backsides all day." [/blockquote] ---------------------------------------------------------- TAG Eve Word Count 517 Lyrics Your Hear Is An Empty Room by Death Cab For Cutie. EVERYONE THINKS THAT I HAVE IT ALLC A S T L E W A L L SBUT IT'S SO E M P T Y LIVING BEHIND THESE
Eve watched silently as the woman before her magically turned her utensils into obsidian, enjoying her meal only after that time. She was quite the magically dependent, Eve thought. She didn't get the extreme fascination in it, to be quite honest. Sure, magic was amazing, and it really did help her become where she was at the moment. But using magic for purposes showing off? Eve had other things she could show off aside from magic. Using magic to do miniscule tasks like clean the house? That's what slaves were for. Surely, Melina had considered, if she didn't already have one, getting one for her own purposes. But it was highly likely that no one would last a week with her. "I wouldn't say perfected," she began to say, but in an attempt not to sound like a total bitch, she countered with a "But you do look great, dear."
Eve quite enjoyed the banter between the two. Even though she had meant most of the things she slapped in her face, and that she was sure she meant her harsh words as well, it was rather enjoyable. Hardly anyone now would have the gall to talk to people like her quite frankly. It was quite a breath of fresh air. She let out a hearty laugh as she mentioned the 1600s. Of course, she would know that year by heart. Eve, however, didn't say it out loud. She would probably have snapped, more or less. She watched as a trail of green mist follow her finger obediently. Sure, it was nice to look at, much like Melina herself. But did it serve any purpose? Hardly. "Oh, I see what you did there," she grinned, licking the bottom of her teeth, in silent contemplation. "No thanks, dear. Though I very much trust your capable hands, I'm fine. Maybe next time."
Eve knew that hitting on her career was a low blow, even for her. But what she said was true, even if she wanted to play dumb about it. Aurelia Dawning, someone Eve had been keeping an eye on, had been gallavanting around more often without her bodyguards. And though she wanted to tell her friend about it, she would much rather see the girl walking the streets alone. It would be much easier for her that way. "Oh, her music seems to still appeal to everyone. Though you may be right in saying that she needs to get up to the times. Lots of artists are doing extreme things nowadays. Take that Lady Gaga for example." Taking a little sip from her drink, she continued, now responding to her question.
"Oh, I'm imparting my knowledge on the less fortunate people of Faraway. I've employed an apprentice. It is rather fulfilling making sure that whatever I know is passed on to budding magicians. I should introduce you some time. I think you'd like him." Of course, Eve didn't mean it at all. Knowing Oz, he would probably mouth off at her age or something. Melina would probably just be annoyed by his face.
"Old schemes eh? Like what? You've done so much it's hard to keep track," she exclaimed, feigning a laugh as she did so, before puffing out another cloud of smoke.

Burn it down till the embers smoke on the ground ---------------------------------------------------------- Melina wasn't much of a smoker unless she was in the mood to toast someone to pieces but Eve made the puffs seem so necessary. She could see in the woman's face how badly she needed every whiff she could get of the smoke. It was almost nice, in the most disgusting form of the word. She looked at the cigarette in the wrinkled hands with a curious, sympathetic gaze as if pitying it for having to go back in that mouth with every few passing seconds. Humans, Melina thought with a smirk, how easily they indulged themselves in an addiction and made it seem so pleasurable and in the end, that own addiction, creating their own demise; not to say that she herself wasn't a human, it was just, she was beyond humanity at this point in her life, the only thing that seemed to keep her stationary to the mortal world seemed to be her simple attraction to ruin that which is enjoyable. The comments coming back toward her as if La'Quinn had finally learned to hold back her emotions. Usually, these little confrontations would last little to no time and always end with raging tempers from one of the two and a triumphant smirk from the other. This had to be some sort of record. They had actually gotten quite serious with their talk, which was progress, though Melina was unsure whether this progression was for the better or for the worst. She would not want a future where friendly terms would be exchanged with the most hagardous of witches. It was usual for Eve to stray away from Melina's gifts, after all, her gifts were what had gained the mistress of all evil, her name and her title. It was though, a way to return the compliments without actually having to do so. As Eve blabbered on about Aurelia, a commotion started outside of their little private room as her spell went away, it seemed someone had, afterall, kisses the toad back to his regular state. A scream broke out amongst the ruckus that was so delightfully pure pain that it made Melina's lips slide upwardly into a smile, her teeth biting into her pink lips to contain her glee from the particular sound. Much like the body of the ex-reptilian, his blood also went back to its regular form turning the small puddle that Melina had left right by the door, into a crimson red flow that settled into the floor and slowly trickled to them. One thing was for sure, though the man's vital organs might grow back to their original form, the leg which had been so easily cut off by the sharp of her heeled shoes, would not. That thought alone, would have left Melina in pure enjoyment as she ate her food. Finishing her food, Melina glanced back at the primitive form in front of her, asking to introduce her to an even more senile form of being sometime. In the grand mood that she was how could she decline? The, now, giddy(or a rather malevolent for of the word) mistress added a devilish grin and a nod to her response, "Oh, the Lady Gaga, yes. She wears hats that just make me nostalgic. It does sound like I should meet this no one if he is to become a 'grand mage'" Melina tapped the desk three times before a man appeared before them. It was clearly a waiter, in shock after being summoned. "Chateau Margaux and..." A look passing over at Eve as if truly, actually guessing what she would want to drink apart from the cheap wine she had at the side of the table, "a root beer soda." The waiter stood there dumbfoundedly. Melina gesturing with a shooing away sign as she went back into conversation. "Nothing too big my dear, don't you fret. Moving some pawns around my chess board and making some enemies with some deadly catch. Now tell me more of this apprentice." An ambiguous tone on her words as she tried to not give away her many ideas in store for the dreadful place of Faraway Island. EVERYONE THINKS THAT I HAVE IT ALLC A S T L E W A L L SBUT IT'S SO E M P T Y LIVING BEHIND THESE Eve sat daintily, quite amused at how the day was unfolding. She was pretty sure that she would not have enjoyed the company of the excessively-showy enchantress, but oddly enough, she hadn't had the urge to gouge out her own eyes. In fact, she was enjoying every single moment that she was there. It wasn't the fact that they got to throw around rather 'friendly' banters towards one another. Mostly, it was because of the fact that she could tell her life was going better than hers. After all, what did Melina have? A soon-to-be washed up old singer, rundown by the next new Disney pop-star. And what did Eve have? A man to play around with whenever she got bored, and a servant serving her for a couple of magic lessons. Surely, those were more sustainable than whatever it was her old friend had. That thought swam around in her head, completely brightening her mood. She took another puff from her cigarette, enjoying the fact that she could blow the cloud of smoke in the woman's direction.
"You in a hurry, dear?" she asked sincerely, glancing over at the woman's dish, almost empty. "You ate your food fast enough." She let out her usual high-pitched laugh before glancing over to the waiter that had popped in before them. The poor man, as delicious as he did seem, looked distraught. His face clearly afraid of what had just happened to him. She bit her lip, not wanting to throw in a snide comment as the female before her ordered a glass of rootbeer. Clearly, she had no taste.
She was intrigued by her subtle remarks about her plans for Faraway. She knew that she was being vague for a reason, and that was because she was planning to do something big. Eve didn't pry more though, respecting her decision to keep things private. She never liked it when people would ask her about her plans, so she returned the same courtesy. Instead, she threw in a casual comment, letting her know that should she need the extra hand, Eve would be willing to help. She wasn't all too fond of the girl, true. But she was fond of causing mayhem. "Well, if you need another player for that game of yours, just let me know."
A smirk crept up on her face as Melina mentioned Oz. She could tell that there was a sense of intrigue, to say the least, about her new apprentice. However, Eve didn't really want to say much about him. If she knew Melina, and she did, the hag would get her own apprentice and try to compete with Oz, just so she can say that she was better. Or even worse, she would probably weasel in on the young lad, probably steal him for her own self.
"Depends on what it is that you want to know, dear. He's a child. Quite young and immature most of the time, sadly. But the kid's willing to learn. And he's got some potential." She took a sip from her wine glass, silently waiting to see the expression on Melina's face.

Burn it down till the embers smoke on the ground ---------------------------------------------------------- Melina looked at the pleased look at the other's face. A sort of triumphant gaze on the other's face. Surely that piece of sagged flesh did not think she had been doing bigger better things. Of course, Melina of course had not done anything that directly affected Faraway Island just yet. No of course not, her plans were never a simple action like Eve's, filling her life with kids, sex toys, anything really to make herself seem less lonely and have people to moisturize her from drying in the sun and turning into a full grow raisin. Melina had no need for people to surround her for comfort. Anyone with a trace of sense in time would know that keeping people close was as idiotic as helping humans progress. The smoke from La'Quinn's lips trailing off into her face as her thoughts lingered for far too long in front of the woman mentioned. She had no idea how much "better" the other had grow in magic but if she could now read thoughts, though it would take unimaginable skill to enter a secured mind, you could never be too careful. Her hand lifted in front of her face and fanned the gray smoke off to the side, a smirk on her face as an idea sprang to mind. She inhaled through her nose rather normally, a smile on her face as the smoke changed inside her throat. She bit the inside of her lower lip, trying to contain her laughter as soot started to form from the heated breath of Melina. She blew back the soot, the same smoke though now black warm and ashy in content. Looking down at her plate, she realized t was empty now, the plate clean, not even a chip from the thinly cut obsidian which would pierce through most objects. Of course, Melina had always been a clean eater, being one of the strictest on etiquette and a master at anything with a sharp point. She herself had taught many people of the time. Ptahhotep being one of the first humans who she had given knowledge upon the world and its delicacies. This was one of the many reasons she wanted to see this boy for herself. If he had such "potential", he would need alot more help than a simple witch with experience on ageing fruits of all kinds(if you can catch my drift). Her thoughts snapped back up as the woman spoke a second time about her eating speed. "Well I simply don't have all day to attend to civil things like this, I have much more on my day then eat, though I'm not sure how much I could say about your time spent on such things". Her hand was then place on top of her crossed legs, as if waiting for the other woman to finish talking before going along her way. A nod was all Melina could muster as a response to a bit of help toward her now, half thought-out plan which would happen sometime in the near future. It was rather weird now that help was being offered, she knew that she might actually help the other if the situation was laughable, this she didn't mind but having someone tug at her for constant help was something despicable. This was one reason she never gave people her actual name, going through names in history of every single mixture, if people knew her name, they could simply pester her at the very mention of it. The topic of her apprentice once more coming up. He sounded much like another magician she knew and if this "potential" was anywhere near as high as she made him sound, she could always help out with the cause. "Well, if you ever want him to get any better, send him my way". A confident smile now on her face knowing full well that she out of all people would be able to crack some sense into someone.[/blockquote] ---------------------------------------------------------- TAG Eve Word Count Seven-hundred and eighty five Lyrics Your Hear Is An Empty Room by Death Cab For Cutie. EVERYONE THINKS THAT I HAVE IT ALLC A S T L E W A L L SBUT IT'S SO E M P T Y LIVING BEHIND THESE Eve was generally in a happy mood that day, and she figured that not even the side comments of Melina could trouble her. She raised her head up high, knowing that whatever she was doing, she was doing better than her 'rival'. In fact, it was her living in the lap of luxury without having to do much work. She had managed to pry away all the money from her late husband's cold, dead fingers. Melina, on the other hand, though she was leeching on the talent and effort of some poor sap, the young singer, she still had to do a certain amount of work. And Eve? Well, she was above doing any form of work. That's what poor people were for.
The woman watched as her companion puffed in the smoke that she blew in her direction turn into a black cloud of smog. The hag blew it in her direction, a scent of sulfur accompanying it. Eve, however, brushed it aside with her hand. It was amusing, her little tricks. Rather plain, but amusing. It was actually one of the reasons why she had offered to help out with her plans, if she had any. From the current state of things, it seemed likely that Melina actually had nothing planned for the city. All smoke and no fire. She couldn't entirely blame her, though, considering she did have to attend to that singer of hers. Eve let out a gentle giggle.
She then spoke, a rather confident air in her tone, saying something about sending her apprentice to her. Like she would do such a thing. Eve would much sooner donate to the poor than send any one under her wing towards the direction of Melina. Not only would she corrupt them and make them work against Eve. More importantly, Melina would make them slowly lose their fear of her, and she couldn't have that. The strongest power she had over her apprentices was that just one cold gaze from her and they would instantly fumble over. If she lost that, then there was no point in having any apprentices.
"A likely thing, Melina, dear. I'd sooner wear something like that," she said, pointing over to her companion's choice of clothing, before she continued, "than send him to you. But, thanks for the concern. I'll be sure to mention you in passing". True enough, she would make it a point to mention Melina to Oz. Mention her as someone he should avoid, under any circumstance.
And just as though the devil was listening in on him, she heard her phone ring. Taking it out from her purse, she saw a message from Oz had been received. Sometimes, he found the kid utterly useless, but it was during times like these when she couldn't help but feel glad that he often got into trouble: to save her from the company of her annoying colleagues. "And speaking of the devil, this is him. Looks like he got in some trouble over at the candy store. Stupid child." She slipped her phone inside her purse before making a move to stand up from her seat. She wiped her lips with a napkin and set it neatly down the table. "We really must do this again, dear." She spoke, before making her way out of the restaurant, hoping that it would be a long time before she and Melina have to sit through something like that again.
