It was dark and eerily quiet over at the Chestnuts. The wind blew hard causing the old and rusty swings to creak, the sound rising above the silence. The rundown school had been there for who knows how long already, and it still hadn't changed much, which wasn't exactly a good thing. It's facilities often proved to be outdated, which meant that the students who did go in the Chestnuts weren't able to keep up with the normal educational standards of other schools. It was a shame, really. But regardless, he knew it was the perfect place. The conscience did have a thing for schools, believing that they were the best place to guide a person, tapping into them during their younger years, teaching them what it meant to be good before they are faced with the crossroads of life. Plus the fact that it played a lot like a metaphor where he was the teacher and everyone else were his students.
Jim sat in one of the empty classrooms, wearing a gray button-down polo, silently thinking to himself, wondering what his nemesis was doing at a time like this. Plotting, no doubt. He had already seen glimpses of what the Titans have done. He knew that things could only get worse. And they would, for certain, if he didn't do anything about. This was exactly the reason why he set up this meeting today. So he could make his next plans of action. He had already met with some of the citizens of Faraway but he knew that that wasn't enough. Not to say that they couldn't have managed against the Titans; he was sure they were perfectly capable. However, he didn't want them to get hurt more than they needed to, and for that, Jim wanted to have a contingency plan. So he called on some of the magic users of Faraway, those that he knew would want to help out, and scheduled for a meeting here.
Waiting patiently, he waved his arms again, causing the room to illuminate, the dark and abandoned look of the room, slowly vanishing. Another flick of his wrist and food spread out the short table before him, just as he had done back at Dalms. He always remembered to be courteous to his guests. Now, all he had to do was wait for them to arrive.

I'M LOOKING AT YOU THROUGH THE GLASSdon't know how much time has passedOH GOD IT FEELS LIKE FOREVER Dustin shook his head, checking out the rundown old school building that Jimmy had chosen to house their llittle meeting. He'd volunteered to help, as soon as the public call had been made - of course he had! - and ended up frustrated, and disappointed, and maybe a bit angry when he hadn't been chosen. Out of everyone, he was one of their best bets against the Titans. Not because his magic was particularly powerful, considering he was fairly sure that Merlin had him beat in that category, but because in addition to the magic he'd learned over the millennia, he had his magic. The kind he was born with, as a Djinn. The kind that made him virtually impossible to kill.
Well, scratch that. He could be killed...he just couldn't stay dead. He could always drag himself back, and keep on fighting the good fight. Protecting innocent lives, and trying to make things better. And so, even if Rickett hadn't hand picked him to join his special team, Dustin had been determined to get out there, and do whatever he could anyways. Because he knew what the Titans could do...and would do, were they not re-imprisoned. And just keep on doing, until they were stopped by force. All they existed to do, was destroy.
A serious frown marred his normal, dashingly handsome features, one of the very rare moments he would be seen without a ridiculous smile plastered across his features. He was cheerful, always, always, it was just part of his nature. He would smile in the face of death, and crack a joke, make a downright fool of himself, anything to keep other people going, keep them smiling. But this situation was just too serious...of course, he'd be back in good humor when it was needed from him...even if no one would ever come out and say it. It was just as necessary as anything. And it took a certain type to provide that necessity.
With a shake of his head, and a snap of his fingers, he was gone from the horribly neglected lawn, and had reappeared in the room the meeting was to be set in, his signature cloud of blue smoke accompanying his sudden appearance, but dissipating almost as quickly as it had come on. A quick glance around told him he was the first to arrive, and despite the fact he was confident that Jimmy already knew who he was, he slapped a grin onto his features, approaching the 'kid.' "Jimmy!" he called brightly, clapping him on the shoulder, before grabbing his hand to shake. "Dustin Delampe, at your service," he stated, capping the sentence off with a wink. Time to get back into character...

High above Chestnut, a silver eagle circled around the building, surveying with superior vision for any reason for caution. Merlin specifical decided this form for any occasion where he was suspicious. He knew who it was that summoned him to the school, the conscience of Faraway. One would suppose then, too, that Faraway's conscience knows about Merlin's past too. Jimmy could be luring him into trap. Over the millenia, Merlin has been betrayed more times than he cared to remember. Magic bounty hunters, witch hunters, magic duelists, legendary warriors, and more have challenged Merlin, many befriending him before the fight, either backstabbing or trapping him to try to catch Merlin off guard. "Wouldst thou be so devious?" There was a second aura he could sense...one similar to a djini he had stalemated against in the past, but perhaps a little weaker. Either way, it peaked his interest. Djini's were rare in the world. Only a few have survived through the many millenias before fading away or are still captives of their inanimate prisons. He was certain this power was the opposite of the one known as Jenson...which meant it could be the other Djini he met, one very close to Jenson, the polar opposite, Dustin. Jimmy and Dustin was inside a classroom, and from what Merlin could see, there was no danger outside. Merlin decided to perch on an open window to see what was happening inside. The eagle brought its wings to its side and dove to the window. A few feet before the wall, he extended his wings to halt his momentum, gracefully landin on the edge of the window's base. Merlin saw the lights had been activated, and on a series of tables, delicacies from multiple nations were laid out. The silver eagle flew over to the table and landed on a chair. "Methinks I shalt lower my guard, the food before me was not prepared to offend, but to welcome. In addition, it wouldst not maketh any sense of the "conscience" of Faraway wouldst do anything devious in nature." The eagle spread it's wings, and a bright light shone from it. In a few seconds, the eagle transformed into an elderly man clothed in a white robe. The man looked over at the host, and djini nodded, and greeted him by smiling and saying a heartliy, "Good morrow." Merlin used the old man form for only two reasons. One, to not provoke fear, something about being elderly often gave people the impression that there is little to no danger in the person they are seeing. Two, as training. It is extremely difficult to keep an elderly body alive. The easier it became to live comfortably in this form, the more powerful the young man and young women form would be. It was a great training plan, and one that has paid off througout the centuries. His reason now was the first one. Merlin knew well that Jimmy was more powerful than all the titan and himself combined, it would not be wise to provoke any feeling of unease from him. More so, Jimmy and Dustin give an unusually friendly and warm aura, there was no need to worry. The bigger concern is the other guests....

Here we go again, I feel the chemicals kickin’ in It’s getting heavy and I want to run and hide
I do it every time, you're killing me now I won’t be denied by you, the animal inside of you Mary strode down the streets towards the Chestnut School. The call that Jimmy sent out for the good magic users of the city had come rather quickly and unexpectedly for her. But she was indeed ready for it. She had told Jim that she would be of any assistance that he would need, and when he sent the request for the magic users to meet him here, she immediately said she would be there, and made preparations.
Mary rarely ever used her powers, not really thinking them necessary for everyday tasks. So she took the few days before the meeting that she had to exercise her abilities, in a way. No doubt that a Fairy Godmother was an astoundingly powerful creature, they just rarely chose to make their powers known to people. She believed though, that in the face of a threat to humanity, her powers could be used for all they were worth. Indeed she would protect the city that she'd long been a citizen of.
She reached the school, opening the door and peeking her head inside. This didn't seem to be a trap. How could the Titans use Jim for their own purpose like that? Mary didn't think that they could imitate voices so well. Or at least, it hadn't been like that the last time she had faced their power. The Titans were strong then, and she presumed that the anger of being apprehended last time would make their rage at a boiling point, and the fire must be quelled immediately, before anything else was destroyed.
Mary finally found the room in which the rest of the magic users were located. It appeared that she was not the last, but she was also not the first. Which was a good thing, because Fairy Godmothers didn't like to be the first, nor the last to a meeting. She spotted Jim, walking over to him and giving a low, graceful curtsy. "Jim, thank you for you kind invitation to this meeting. I'm Mary Mae, as you well know." She smiled brightly at him before walking towards a seat, waiting for the others to arrive, and for the meeting to begin.
