Hello, Gretle Brandt.
» Is there anything you would rather be called?
"Gretle, please. There aren‘t really any nicknames for the name ‘Gretle‘."
» Great, now that we've got that covered. How old are you?
"I’m nineteen. And old for my age"
» You know, has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like...?
"Deborah Ann Woll. Yes, I‘ve heard that before. She‘s quite beautiful. That‘s a lovely compliment."

Let's talk about your personality.
» What are a few of your favorite things?
"Being with my brother. He‘s basically my best friend in the entire world, and I can‘t imagine what I‘d do without him. I really like sweets as well. That‘s part of what got my brother and I in trouble when we were younger, but I‘ll talk more about that later. I like being with my family… My real family. I can get all the joy in the world when it‘s just us three. My father, brother and myself. I love a lot, I hate a lot. But I don’t love and hate the same way. Wow, someone write that down, that was pretty deep of me. "
»That's interesting. Is there anything you absolutely dislike?
"Definitely my stepmother. She‘s an evil, cruel-hearted woman. I‘m not sure what my father sees in her. Oh well. Other than that, I hate witches. They remind me of my stepmother, but they do magic which makes them worse than her. I’ve come across one before. She was crazy. Luckily my brother and I got away. On a lighter note, I hate the forest. I have these nightmares that I‘m lost in the woods, and I can‘t find my way out. That‘ll give you an entire new view on the forest. I think if ever found myself in the woods, I might have a panic attack. Yes, the nightmares are that bad. "
» Hm, what is your greatest fear?
"Besides being lost in the woods with no way out, I‘m afraid that my stepmother will corrupt my father and bewitch him so much that he won‘t love my brother and I anymore. I have this vision of her telling him to kill us, and him being so screwed up in the mind by the things that she‘s told him, that he obliges. I love my father, and I wish he would leave my stepmother. She doesn‘t deserve his love, and he doesn‘t deserve her treatment. So the sooner she gets gone, the better my real family‘s life will be. "
» Yeah, that is scary. Do you have any dreams for the future?
"To be free of the evils in the world. Such as my step mother, and that witch that tried to eat me and my brother. Yes. I would like to live a peaceful life with my brother and my father, but as long as those two women are in the world, there will be no peace until I see them gone. None until they‘re either in a new town, or in the ground, six feet below us all. Sound morbid? Oh well. You almost get cooked and see how you feel after that."
» Wow, I hope you succeed. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
"I hope have gathered by this point that I live with my father, horrid stepmother, and my brother. My brother are witch hunters. Mainly we started doing that after my stepmother left us in the woods and some “kind lady“ led us to her house for “food and a warm bed“, but no such luck, eh? Nope. She was going to cook and eat us. We managed to get away, but she‘s still out there, and I reckon she‘s still trying to eat children. That sick and disturbed woman. So my brother and I are looking for her, waiting for to show herself in some way. Then we‘ll get her.
My brother and I have been studying witches for years, and we think we‘ll be ready when finally see her. "

So far so good. Now for history.
» So tell me, where are you from? What did you think of it?
"I was born in Germany and I lived there for most of my life. But my stepmother decided a few years ago that she wanted to move to Faraway, so since my father listens to everything she says, we moved here. I love Germany, and I love it here. "
» Do you have any other family? Parents? Siblings? Extended? What do you think about them?
"You know the answer to this by now, I‘m sure. I love my father and my brother. I hate my stepmother. As for what happened to my real mother, I‘m not sure. According to my father, she died when I was really little. My father never specified what happened to her. “
» What is your worst memory/memories?
"When that witch had me and my brother held captive. She was fattening my brother up, getting ready to eat him. I was so scared. I didn‘t think we‘d get out of there. I was afraid because she was saving me to eat last, and I didn‘t want to spend one second of my life without my brother. "
» What is your best memory/memories?
"That one second that I thought my stepmother was gone forever. When my brother and I got home after running away from the witch, my father told us that something had happened to her, but he didn‘t know what. Only that she had been gone for days, and didn‘t tell him where she was going. She stayed gone for a few more days, but then she returned. My best memories are the days that she was gone."
» Where are you now? What are you doing with your life?
"I‘m working with my brother on finding and getting rid of the witch that tried to kill the both of us so many years ago. I‘m still living with my father and stepmother, though. I swear, I need to get my own place. I don‘t care if my step mum thinks that I‘m too young to get my own place. The only reason I‘m still there is because I couldn‘t leave my father or brother with her. They don‘t deserve that. I need to keep them as safe as possible. Hansel may be older than me, but sometimes it‘s him who needs the protecting. "
