Hello, Doctor Dwayne Raffte.
» Is there anything you would rather be called?
"My mum named me Dwayne Raffte, but most people just call me Doc. My friends, though I only have a few of them, call me Raffte. Either is fine, to be quite honest."
» Great, now that we've got that covered. How old are you?
"I just turned thirty-seven a couple of weeks ago."
» You know, has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like...?
"Martin Freeman? That guy from Sherlock? Well, yes, I suppose he is a doctor too."

Let's talk about your personality.
» What are a few of your favorite things?
"I'm an animal lover, for certain. I have a dog and a canary over at the apartment, which I'm not really supposed to have, but my tenant is a good 'ol chap. Taking care of them is a pleasure of mine. I also genuinely like to help other people who are in need. I suppose it's why I found myself in this business. Saving lives, cheesy I know, really hits my soft spot right here. I like living alone too, most of the time. Though I used to live with a bunch of my room mates before, we all sorta went our separate ways and I just never seemed to enjoy anyone else's company like I did theirs. So, it's off to lonesome living for me at the moment."
»That's interesting. Is there anything you absolutely dislike?
"Well, I don't like lawyers. Don't ask why. I just... have this unreasonable fear of them. Just like how some people fear doctors. It just happens. I also don't like whiners. Maybe it's one of the reasons I like animals. It's because they hardly ever whine, and when they do, it's for a good reason. Unlike people, who just naturally whine. I also hate natural disasters. I mean, there's so much going on now, like with the recent hit of Japan? It's a scary thought that in just moments, thousands of people can die. And being powerless to do anything to help them out? It's even worse."
» Hm, what is your greatest fear?
"Being fired from my job and having my license revoked. It's a tough thing, what I do. And though some appreciate the hard work I put into my work, some people just have the gall to tell me I didn't do a good enough job when a relative or a friend dies on my table. I'm just afraid that somehow, someone, someday, will find a way to take my dream away from me."
» Yeah, that is scary. Do you have any dreams for the future?
"I can't think too far ahead into the future. In this line of work, you see exactly how fast time is, how quick a life lasts. I tend not to think of the future because of it."
» Wow, I hope you succeed. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
"Well, like I said. I love helping people out, and I'd do whatever I can to help them out, especially when it involves me practicing my abilities. Though I'm a little shaky when doing procedures, seeing as the human body is sort of different from an animal's. Oh, did I mention that out loud? Don't tell anyone please. If you do, it would ruin me. I'm desperate to have this job, and I'm very careful during all my operations anyways. This is the reason I tend not to talk about myself too much. Things slip out of my mouth. Now I'm going to beat myself up for this for a long time."

So far so good. Now for history.
» So tell me, where are you from? What did you think of it?
"I lived here in Faraway all my life. I managed to rise up from living over at the outskirts, to moving up here in the city. It was all thanks to the job. Even though I haven't tried living anywhere else, I like it here in Faraway."
» Do you have any other family? Parents? Siblings? Extended? What do you think about them?
"Well, my mom died when I was little. The doctor said that something happened after she gave birth to me, and that there were complications. A couple of months after, she died. Maybe it was why I chose to become a doctor too. Hoping that maybe if I meet someone else who was in a situation like mine, I'd be able to help them out. My dad is living alone in our old home. I invite him over to my place, but he can't bring himself to leave our old house. I picture mum's death was hard on him."
» What is your worst memory/memories?
"When I failed the bar exam for medicine. Yep. I took it twice, and failed. Which means, I have to re-take it again in four years. It was really embarrassing, especially when I was telling my dad about it. He was just looking forward to it, and I let him down. Twice. "
» What is your best memory/memories?
"My best memory? Well, obviously, it was when people started calling me Doctor again. I had managed to land a job in the vet industry, considering that it was a lot easier than being a human surgeon. From there, people saw how hard working I was and after establishing my name a bit, I went on for higher and greener pastures. Turns out, you can fake a degree quite easily."
» Where are you now? What are you doing with your life?
"I'm a Doctor. Mostly a surgeon, but I do dabble a bit in other fields of medicine. Though I am not an expert in those. Right now, I work as a regular over at the Faraway General Hospital, tending to the the sick people confined there. I make it a point to try and help out everyone in the hospital, even if it does mean a lot of overtime on my end. As long as the people get back to their healthy lives. I just hope that all this hard work would go appreciated. Maybe if they find out that I don't have an actual doctor's certificate, they'd be more lenient if they knew how much help I've been."
