A sigh escaped the blonde's lips, and with it, a curl of thick, smooth smoke. The corners of her mouth turned lazily upwards into a sort of half smile as she watched the smoke float and disperse, before bringing the mouth of the hose back to her lips, and inhaling deeply. Savoring the slight burn in her lungs, and the faint strawberry flavor the smoke carried with it, she held her breath for a few moments, giving the smoke a moment to settle, before exhaling once more; this time, in small breaths, forming rings out of the smoke with her tongue and lips as she exhaled. Once again, the blonde watched the smoke as it traveled, gradually dispersing and fading from view.
She was waiting for a 'customer' of hers, though not at all impatiently. She loved the Cafe, as it was the only hookah lounge in the city. As much as she didn't mind smoking hookah on her own, in her flat, in her cottage, or even out and about, where ever she felt the urge to stop and appreciate the world, it was still nice to be 'social' sometimes. People watching was enthralling -- both because people were interesting, and because from time to time, she found herself unable to relate. Mostly, she chalked it up to being somewhat normal, though she herself was certainly far from it. Everyone must feel like that sometimes, right?
Setting the hose down for the moment, her hand fell, subconsciously fingering the drugs she had concealed in her pocket. Already pre-weighed, though were there to be any discrepancies, she would be more than willing to pull out her scale. Or, depending on the customer, throw a little extra their way. Not like she was experiencing any great shortage, or anything like that. And besides, if you treat your customers well, they're all the more likely to keep coming back. And well, her customers were her livelihood, and what saved her from having to compromise her morals by selling out, and distributing her goods through someone like Hades. That wasn't the life she wanted for herself, being threatened on penalty of death for being robbed of certain products... Her mind flickered briefly to Maddy, and she remembered her mission to ask her customers if they knew anything...not that any had, as of yet. If absolutely all else failed...well...she'd find something to do. No matter what. Maddy may be a rival of hers, but a life is a life, and she wasn't about to watch one end while she sat idly by.
With a sigh, she grabbed the hose of the hookah back off the table, bringing it to her mouth, and inhaling deeply. She could really use a buzz right now.
