Perdita's eyes moved slowly across the sinister faces on the Wanted posters - which now lined the building walls - as she walked along the dull streets, a slight shiver running down her spine. Clutching onto her satchel, her foot-steps tapping lightly against the concrete as she moved, the slim blonde began to wish she'd stayed indoors, as advised. She could almost sense the danger in roaming alone now - the city streets had never been the safest place to wander, but now the presence of trouble seemed imminent. Everyone was acting different too. People she passed would hurry on by, mumbling incoherently to themselves, some looking drained with fear, others unable to hold a shopping bag without trembling. There were also less people around; the place was practically deserted for once.
Still, being pigeon-holed in at home wasn't as interesting as the police made it out to be. Not that Perdie was the type to go seeking trouble; no, that wasn't it. Like some people, she wanted to go about her business as normal, and the first step in that was getting out of the house. Plus, she had other reasons for not wanting to be at home right now. Camera slung around her neck, she arrived at her destination - the park. Slipping through the large iron gates, she wandered aimlessly along the winding path. Even just to breathe in some fresh air after a long day spent indoors was great. She found it strange however, that the sound of children's laughter was missing. The silence that lingered was an unwelcome one at that.
Sitting upon the grass on a hilled area of the huge park, she watched as the sky slowly began to turn a rusty red and orange; the sun was setting. Holding her camera to her eye, she began to snap a few shots. It was always better to watch a sunset on the beach, but since this was the closest the city girl could get to that right now, she contented herself with what she had. The sky looked troubled; like this was the beginning of something horrific for Faraway.

"No Raj. I'm not out. Why would I be out? My driver just got lost. Yes in the Farawy. No don't exaggerate, we have not lived here forever. For heavens sake, Raj. I am not jogging in the park when there are criminals loose " She laughed a little, as she stopped jogging to tie the lace of her running shoe. "Well, lie to daddy for me, Raj. It's not that hard. you do it all the time." She adjusted the arm band holding her ipod, before taking off on the rest of her jog. "No Raj I promise. I am not alone jogging in the park. Even if I were jogging in the park, which I'm not, but If I were, What makes you think I would be alone. No Raj I'm sure tons of people are still going outside. Everyone can't really stay inside just because four lunatics escape from prison."
But for the most part it seemed like they were. The park was essentially empty. She hadn't seen a person in blocks, except for the four Titans glaring at her from the wanted posters. Jasmine understood a need for caution. But completely shutting down seemed like letting the criminals win, and Jasmine had never let anyone else win in her life. Her father was worried about everything going on. Doing his usual over protective thing he had banned Jasmine from going anywhere by herself, which made her solo jog in the park necessary.
Up a head she saw someone else out, taking pictures of the sunset. "Raj, I have to go. I promise I'll call you back. Okay. I promise not to do anything stupid. Yes. I'm listening to you. Bla bla bla, criminals death bla. Got it. Thanks. Love you too. She pressed the end button on her cell phone as she jogged up to the other girl. She smiled at her, before speaking. "Hey haven't you heard there are dangerous criminals loose, and everyone's supposed to be inside?"

Lowering her camera, allowing it to rest against her breast as she finished taking pictures, Perdie wrapped her arms around her knees. Feeling the wind ruffle through her hair and causing goosepimples to rise on her arms, she shivered slightly and pulled her cardigan closer to her body for warmth. As the sun fell into the abyss of clouds, disappearing from view, with the exception of those amber and ruby streaks that filled the darkening sky, she began to wonder what chaos would take place tonight. One place had already been destroyed; she had seen the news coverage earlier that day.
The sound of someone's voice, breathless from running, reached the blonde woman's ears and she snapped out of her thoughts to find a young asian woman standing before her, clad in jogging gear and smiling. Perdie returned the smile, pleasantly surprised to find that she wasn't the only "crazy person" in this town, defying the police's warnings to keep out of the way.
"I know. I just find it ridiculous, you know? Why should we be hidden like rats when these streets have always been dangerous?", Perdie responded, raising an eyebrow slightly at the female jogger before continuing. "I see it hasn't been stopping you?"
Pushing herself up to stand now, almost matching the girl's height, Perdita dusted off her jeans before extending a hand to the woman.
"I'm Perdie." been a long cold 236 words. lonely winter finished. feels like years tagged? Jasmine. since its been clear outfit. slowly melting notes? =3. its alright REAL SLIM SHADY !? @ caution 2.0 .[/blockquote]

"Jasmine." She introduced herself, shaking the girls hand. Perdie was an interesting name. And it fit the interesting girl. She was clearly an artist of some sort, but her attitude was a little tougher than Jasmine would have expected from an artist. They had always seemed a little limp wristed and lovers than fighters. Not that Perdie struck Jaz as a fighter per-say, but the people she typically associated with art would have been hold up in their studios with criminals loose instead of out taking pictures of sunsets that could be interrupted by a titan at any moment.
But she completely agreed with the girl. "Well, you're right. It shouldn't stop us. If we stop they win. Besides I hate treadmills. I'm not going let a couple of criminals ruin a perfectly good figure." She grinned a little, brushing the strands of dark hair that had slipped from her scrunchie out of her face. She grinned a little turning to face the sunset that she had been photographing. It's really pretty. It's a good thing your capturing it for all the people who aren't getting out to see it."
Jumping from one foot to the other, she rolled her neck a little. "Are you a photographer, by trade or anything? I have a friend who needs some pictures taken. Like studio portraits. Do you have a card or something?" And by friend she of course meant herself. Head shots were good to have. She was considering trying to get some sort of job dancing. She don't need to, and it would crush her father. But, she wanted to, and it would make her happy. Daddy always wanted her to be happy, and she was most positive that would win out in the end.
