Hello, Aisha Jolly Lee.
» Is there anything you would rather be called?
"Umm, you can call me Aish I guess? I respond to anything normally."
» Great, now that we've got that covered. How old are you?
"I've just turned twenty two."
» You know, has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like...?
"Have you heard of Cher Lloyd? Well, apparently, I look EXACTLY like her. Not sure if it's a compliment or not."

Let's talk about your personality.
» What are a few of your favorite things?
"Well obviously I like to dance. I'm not the prettiest girl in the Cave of Wonders, but I can sure dance. I will also eat almost anything. I really like jewelry too, earrings are my favourite. Anything shiny I tend to hoard. I love being around other people, I'm quite sociable and if I'm with my friends I truly feel happy."
»That's interesting. Is there anything you absolutely dislike?
"I really hate cheese. Have you tasted how nasty that stuff is?! I don't like how prejudiced people are as well about people like me. I'm very proud of whom I am and where I came from, you have to learn not to listen to what they say. I get quite protective of my friends too, so anything that doesn't sit well with them annoys me too. "
» Hm, what is your greatest fear?
"That my parents ever find out what work I do. They know I dance, they don't know where I dance and who I dance to. We're bought up to be very pure people and they really wouldn't approve of it, but I need the money."
» Yeah, that is scary. Do you have any dreams for the future?
"I would love to become a proffessional dancer. I mean, what I do now is great, but it's not exactly stardom. To do something and be proud of it would be awesome."
» Wow, I hope you succeed. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
"Err- okay! I'm Aisha. I'm a Romany Gypsy, but I don't act like one. I love good food and dancing. People say I'm intelligent. I can be very stubborn and a little bit posessive sometimes. I like to collect things and I always have too much energy "

So far so good. Now for history.
» So tell me, where are you from? What did you think of it?
"Haha, thats the sort of question you ask a settled person. I'm from the road. I was born on a roadside in a caravan. Make of that as you will. I've always lived in Faraway, if that's what you mean, but the travelling community are very set in their ways and don't stay in one place for too long. We're not usually welcome."
» Do you have any other family? Parents? Siblings? Extended? What do you think about them?
"Pfft. I haven't even met my entire family. My mother was the youngest of five, my dad has three siblings. That means I have about thirty cousins at least. I see them sometimes at weddings, we get on alright. I have four siblings, two brothers and two sisters. One of my brother still lives with us, the others have gotten married, and it's my turn next. Honestly, I really don't want to settle down yet. And I'm old for a Gypsy bride. We also live with my Nana, whom I adore. She's the only person who understands me, or at least it feels like that."
» What is your worst memory/memories?
"When I realised we're not wanted. I was about four, they reckon you start remembering from that age, and we had pulled up into this town and the people came out onto the streets, shouting and jeering at us and telling us to move on. It was horrible, I remember crying. Now I don't bat an eyelid."
» What is your best memory/memories?
"I remember vividly when I was about seven, we stayed in a town for about six months. It was hard winter and we couldn't afford to keep travelling. So my mum reluctantly let me attend the local dance classes. They put on a show, and got the main role. Seeing my parents sitting in the front row and realising this is what I wanted to do. I felt so proud."
» Where are you now? What are you doing with your life?
"I have a house! Well, flat. It feels really, really weird, I've never lived in one place before. But it's close to work and its something new. I'm single and quite frankly loving it, I have a job dancing at the Cave of Wonders and I'm trying to get money so I can travel to auditions for better jobs. Is that okay? I can redo it if you want, oh okay. Well, see you around!"
