Hello, Brendan Ericsson.
» Is there anything you would rather be called?
"Brendan or Bren are both acceptable. My first name apparently means "prince." I remember my mum explaining it to me as a kid. She called me it because I was her "little prince." My surname "Ericsson", comes from my father who was Danish."
» Great, now that we've got that covered. How old are you?
"I'm twenty five, but I don't feel old or anything."
» You know, has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like...?
"Brant Daugherty"

Let's talk about your personality.
» What are a few of your favorite things?
"Sailing, I definitely have to say, is number one on my list. I have my own boat in the harbour and I've travelled around quite extensively with a small crew. And not just for fishing purposes either. I love getting away from the craziness of everyday life. I grew up around the coast with my folks, so you just can't beat that sea-air scent. I like seafood, but only if the quality is good, and I'm also a part-time musician and I've been known to play for small crowds over at The Hook . I'm a bit of a dreamer really, but hey, that's the kinda life I lead, and I wouldn't change it. I very rarely get stressed out, though I do get lonely sometimes."
»That's interesting. Is there anything you absolutely dislike?
"I don't like liars - fake people just don't do it for me. You have to be true to yourself otherwise I'm just not interested. I can't stand people pressuring me to do anything either. My parents raised me in a way so that I'd be humble and modest, so shallow people beware. I won't stick around for that crap. It's easy for a guy to fall for the wrong types of women - the kind who look good enough to eat on the outside, but on the inside they're as cold and manipulative as a sea-witch. I was one of those guys but I make a point to keep my eyes open, in case the right girl comes along. She's out there, man."
» Hm, what is your greatest fear?
"To lose that spontaneous streak, and be trapped in a routined, loveless lifestyle, like most people my age end up doing to themselves. I like freedom in my life, and if I didn't have that then I might as well not exist."
» Yeah, that is scary. Do you have any dreams for the future?
"To travel across the world on my boat, y'know? See the wonders that this world has to offer? And hopefully, to have someone to share the experience with."
» Wow, I hope you succeed. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
"I've been told that I'm charming - usually by old ladies staying over at The Neptune - and I guess I have a natural, caring side to my person - I looked after my mother when she was ill. I have a deep respect for women, and I'm quite the gentleman but if challenged by other men, I'm not afraid to give as good as I get. I'm laidback, easy to get along with and also very outdoorsy. I'd hate being cooped up inside all day. I need to stretch my legs and get out there."

So far so good. Now for history.
» So tell me, where are you from? What did you think of it?
"I was born in Scandanavia, but my father was a fisherman and my mother and I travelled around parts of the world with him before they split. I was two years old when we settled in Faraway. My father visited often, but he and his crew spent most of the time at sea. When he did come back, he'd teach me all he knew about sailing and fishing."
» Do you have any other family? Parents? Siblings? Extended? What do you think about them?
"My parents died; when I was fifteen, my father was killed during a storm at sea. My mother became terminally ill when I was seventeen and I spent those years caring for her until she passed away. Right now, there's just me. Except of course Uncle Grimsby - he's not really my uncle, he's just an old friend of my father's but he owns some ships down at Portlantis."
» What is your worst memory/memories?
"Finding out my father had been killed; it destroyed both of us, me and mother. The worst part was that his body had never been found."
» What is your best memory/memories?
"When dad used to return to shore after one of his stints abroad, he always brought me back an object from his travels; something from each place he'd visited. I've kept them all tucked away in a small chest ever since. It's hard to look at them, but I keep telling myself that he died doing something he loved."
» Where are you now? What are you doing with your life?
"I'm a fisherman and my boat is harbored in at Portlantis. When I'm not fishing, I'm playing guitar over at The Hook or walking along the beach with my dog, Max. Pretty peaceful life, to be honest."
