Hello, Philip Jackson Kingston.
» Is there anything you would rather be called?
"Just Phil, please. It's a really old family name that annoys the hell out of me, but what are you gonna do, right?"
» Great, now that we've got that covered. How old are you?
"24 years and counting."
» You know, has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like...?
"Jared Padelecki. Yup, 's what I've been told."

Let's talk about your personality.
» What are a few of your favorite things?
"Well, ma'am, I do love the sport that I currently play in the big leagues. I swear, there isn't anything better than being out on the ice, with hundreds of fans chanting your name. I also like long walks through the park, and swimming in the ocean. Basically, if it involves me actually moving my legs, I'm there."
»That's interesting. Is there anything you absolutely dislike?
"I can't stand people who think that their shit don't stink, and who bully others instead of looking down on themselves. I also hate having cameras and microphones shoved in my face. Yeah, I do have a pic on the front page of the sports section, but that doesn't mean I want to give you my life story! Thanks so much; GO AWAY."
» Hm, what is your greatest fear?
"My greatest fear? Hell, that's easy; my greatest fear would be getting hurt so bad, that I can't play hockey ever again. It's a hazard in my world; you lose an eye, or get your head slammed into the plastic shield too many times, and you're out. For me, it's my knee. If I blow it out...God, I don't know what I'll do."
» Yeah, that is scary. Do you have any dreams for the future?
"Just to be as happy in my personal life as I am when I'm out on the ice."
» Wow, I hope you succeed. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
"Uh...yeah, sure; I can do that. Well, I think that I'm a pretty nice guy, easy to get along with. I put a lot of stock in loyalty, and if you watch my back, I'll watch yours.
I'm also kind of a private guy. While the media likes to play up my 'adventures' in Faraway City, I try my best to keep myself out of the limelight. I guess it's kind of counterproductive, being that I'm engaged to a musical superstar...but I prefer quiet evenings at home with my fiance, than being stuck out in the middle of papparazzi-central.
That said, I also pride myself on standing up for those who can't help themselves, and I'm completely against drugs of any kind. They screw with a person's mind, man. There's nothing that could be worse being turned into a mush-brain."

So far so good. Now for history.
» So tell me, where are you from? What did you think of it?
"I was born and raised in Faraway City, and I think that it was better 25 years ago than it is now. There was a lot less crime, or so I remember, and I enjoyed living there. My parents were middle class, and the close confines of the city made making friends much easier than living in a suburb."
» Do you have any other family? Parents? Siblings? Extended? What do you think about them?
"My parents, Harry and Lisa Kingston are still alive and well. Mom and Pop own a little bakery in the city, near where I used to live as a kid. I keep telling them to move out; that I'll buy them a really nice mansion to retire in, but they keep telling me to use the money to spoil my fiance. -blushes-
Speaking of which, you could say that my 'extended' family includes Aura Dawning. She's a really famous singer that I met a long time ago. She's basically one of my closest friends...and I guess it's only right that we get married. It works out for the both of us, professionally and personally.
Also included in that category is the famous quarterback, Xavier Culles. I've known the guy since my first commercial shoot back at the beginning of my hockey career, and he's also one of my closest friends. There ain't nobody else I'd rather go hit a bar with that that dude! Talk about bringing down the house..."
» What is your worst memory/memories?
"Probably the first time I had to get up in front of my middle school class and read a report I wrote. I've had dislexia for most of my life, and back then, my parents didn't have enough money to send me to a specialist. So...there I was, stuttering and stumbling through my little speech in front of everyone. It was horrible."
» What is your best memory/memories?
"My first game in the minors. I went out on that ice and everything disappeared; it was just me, my stick and the puck. It was the most peaceful I've ever felt in my life."
» Where are you now? What are you doing with your life?
"Right now, I'm play right wing offensive for the Faraway Rangers. I'm one of the team's best players- the coach's words, not mine- and...well, without sounding too much like a jackass, I'm pretty much on every sports magazine in the region. I plan on playing hockey for as long as I can, then maybe get a coaching gig once I get too old to keep up with the younger guys. That won't be for a long time, though, so look for me at game time!"
